i wonder if you can incorporate the studying into the games somehow.

would probs be easiest in word association, assuming the other player(s) would be able to try to stay on topic

terrible idea. although @kitty.iceFS if you are serious about wanting to 'gamify' your studies, I recommend using flashcards. I use an app called Anki.
The app has a learning curve but it is really helpful. You can add add-ons to it as well. Like this one that adds pokemon to Anki so that you can learn while catching pokemon :D
