Are there people who witness people who try ctb with partial/hanging or similar method? And whos successful. I wonder if its not-so-painful or not. In theory if unconsciousness can be obtain within 30 seconds then it shouldnt be so bad?

but seems not possible with full suspension? Since full suspension will brake the cartilage and nerve instead of just block blood flow?

partial or night2 seems more peaceful but i read uts not so reliable. Thats why im confused

This is correct. Partial is more unreliable but more peaceful if you get the right spot. Full is very reliable but can be painful IF the cartilage or hyoid bones break. These breaks are found in about half of completed suicides from what I've read in forensic articles.
There are videos out there if people hanging both in partial and full and most of them are pretty peaceful looking apparently. I don't have the stomach to watch them myself.
I read a study where the researchers watched filmed suicidal hangings to better understand what happens to the body and in the two full suspension hangings unconsciousness was achieved in under 20 seconds. They didn't say how the rope was positioned.

When I was considering partial as my main method, I watched the videos. I was surprised that I could stomach them. It actually helped me feel like I was ready. They do seem quite peaceful, but you do need to know what you're doing.

I always think of the many people who ctb this way without much planning or thought and they're successful, but I would likely plan for months, and practice positioning everything properly, and still fail.

Why do you think you'd fail?

Passing out and unconscious was peaceful but waking up after my belt snapped wasn't peaceful at all.

Just my luck. I'd plan and plan and not get what I wanted. Isn't that life?
Well I planned and couldn't do it at all. It was ridiculously scary 🥲 so now I'm back to the drawing board.

I've failed at partial and chickened out of full hanging multiple times. 😟😭

I wonder what happens if the hyoid breaks and you survive. Do they do surgery or something?
