There's no way it would even get made without seeming extremely pro-life and getting overly preachy about how suicide is bad or whatever. Plenty of anime or other Japanese media that have covered the topic has leaned that way.I think the sadness and honesty would translate as a beautiful film amongst the arc of stories in Myazaki's collection. And would serve as a balancing point for Grave of the Fireflies.
It's more about art than it is about prolife politics. I won't waste my breath recounting those angles/perspectives.
