Will your loved ones care about you if you die more then they did while you were alive? I mean really care about you after you are gone ?would they honor your death and light candles every night or will they become just like us depressed , will time heal their hearts , will they then forget we existed ?

It's hard to know really. I'm waiting for the one person who it would definitely affect the most to go first anyhow.
After that- I think people may well think about me more initially- when they hear the news but I can't see it being a regular thought for that long. I've become so distant from everyone. Most people I haven't seen in going on five years plus.
It upsets me that it likely will upset them but you can't hang on to a life you hate for a few crumbs of affection every few years.

I've heard from several people that at some point they started feeling like their dead person never even existed, or it feels like it was "in another life". They remember and it's still hard though, and will be hard in different ways. It's a trauma and it can't just disappear.

I don't really believe that it matters if they do or not as we simply won't be there at that point, it could never be our concern. And even if they do care, I believe that eventually we will all be forgotten about and that's just the way that life is. I think that we very likely eventually won't even exist in the memories of others, but it comforts me the thought of this life being long forgotten about.

I believe that Some will care and grieve Deeply........ While others might not, and possibly be glad I'm gone. .. ? Hard to say for sure, but as FC stated...... I will be Dead and fckn Gone at that point so I Tryy my best not to think of the tragedy and aftermath. ... Fml.

None of them will ever forget. Most will still care about you and miss you terribly. From my experience, losing someone to suicide is one of the most painful things you can go through. Yes, your existence can be painful, but the effects of killing yourself will be painful to those around you.
However, that doesn't make you a bad person. People care about you, but they don't know how to express it or how to help.

I won't be forgotten. but I'd hate myself if they sat around waiting for me. I'm a selfish person, and I would hate if they thought of me as anymore than that.

Some people are lucky and they are remembered here and there. But most certainly just in special occasions. People must continue on and remembering everyday is not something they usually do. At the beginning yes but then after that they start to put new things in their life which they in all right to do. I can be forgotten because I truly do not care about it.

If they really love you, they'll miss you like crazy. I get terrified when i think that my dad will die someday, i'll miss him so much... emotions are kinda dumb in that aspect; everybody dies and someday they'll be forgotten when the people that cared about them also die. Maybe your death will tear someone's life to shreds and they will NEVER recover... idk, most of the time that doesn't happen because death is a part of life, but if they love you i can assure you that you'll be remembered.
