I would if only to answer questions that I know would be asked as I am very secretive. Make sure there is no blame on anyone but me kind of thing.

If I go using a blatant method i would leave one for the coroner begging them to not do the public inquest that is compulsory here in the UK for a suicide/unnatural death. One of the things that has kept me here so long is my crap getting aired out in public which my very private family will hate.

I will also leave a list of account info/emails addresses and passwords to make it as easy as possible to sort out my affairs with banks, credit cards etc.

Should I ever do the deed,my physical note will probably be just "check my computer file named ....." and my entire message will be written as a word document on my computer.

I thought it would be funny to be ultraedgy and leave one written in blood but nah, probably not going to do it. No energy and there's nothing left to say anyway, I think.

I'm thinking of doing it - I feel like I'd owe a letter - some last words from me.

No. Everyone will know why.

I would like people to know it's not their fault and there was nothing they could've done to stop me though.

I've tried writing a 'draft' note but I end up self editing and obsessing over it.

140 character limit like twitter use should be more than enough if you write it properly.

That's a good idea. Although knowing me I'll still agonise over what to use the character limit for.

There's nothing to say and too much to say at the same time!

The people who know me will understand why. There's no need to explain. They may not understand the suffering I'm in but because they saw my despair and I talked about it regularly. It won't be like, oh she was so happy I wonder why she would kill herself lol!

I did the first time I attempted but I don't think I will this time. Is that selfish? I just don't know what I would say that I haven't already said.

I'd prefer to leave the world holding no grudges. So, other than a simple "I love you all," I'll leave no note.

Main reason to leave a note is to make the police work simple and short, and to safe ones family some possible extended misery.

I don't think I will post on here before I go. I won't leave a suicide note as such but I will leave some letters to certain people. I already have an envelope in my medicine box which contains information that someone will need.

I wasn't going to leave one, but am now thinking of snail mailing a letter to my ex the day I die, to tell him I love him and I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused him.

If I do, it will be very short. I don't plan on writing my life story and all the reasons I've wanted to die during my life because I wouldn't know where to start and where to end. My family shouldn't have to cling onto an unnecessarily long letter. It would be easier for them to move on without a detailed letter. But something short might also ease their minds.

I will write something along the lines of:
"Thanks for taking care of me all this time. I have wanted to die for a very, very long time and I believe living any longer would have broken me further. There was nothing you or anyone else or anything could have done to change my thoughts so please do not regret anything. This was not your fault, and I do not resent you for anything. I am finally at peace now. I will be happy wherever I am so please stay healthy and happy. Thank you."

The unfortunate thing is, I usually really want to die when I'm angry (lol). I hope I don't die angry and leave an angry message behind.

As Benjamin Franklin lay dying at the age of 84, his daughter told him to change position in bed so he could breathe more easily. Franklin's last words were, "A dying man can do nothing easy."

Yes, I will leave a note. Family is big to me and I feel they have the right to know the last few things in my mind. Like where I want m books to go to or clothing for example.

I have a note on my laptop. It includes helpful advice for my family, and an informal will. I will print two copies: one for my family, one for police. A note can help clear your family in case there is any suspicion around your death.

I have a Do Not Rescuscitate order registered (I will leave it out), but the first page of my note also emphasizes that I don't want to be kept alive artificially. Just morphine, if I'm still alive : )
