Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Will SN attempts and suicides affect the availability of it soon?

I wonder if people keep killing themselves will companies and then eventually governments will respond leaving us with less options? My concern is that a lot of people use it and might have to resort to jumping depending on what is available to them.

Apparently some European governments have already cracked down on SN. It will probably be come more like the inert gases that you can still buy but the shops keep a closer eye on it. I can't imagine they will be able to really eliminate it considering its economic importance.
That's why I bought mine sooner than I should have (I would have preferred to wait for cooler weather). I was afraid amazon and eBay will crack down on it. One of the sellers on amazon had a 1 star review stating SN should be illegal due to people killing themselves with it, and that they had contacted amazon about getting it removed.

It's already underway. Some of the biggest sellers, including APC in the UK, have stopped dealing with individual customers. You have to prove you have a legitimate business reason to buy the stuff.
I don't know the exact state of affairs in the US, but it's not getting easier. Online meto is harder to find, too, or at least it's harder to see from an American ip address.
There's a way around every restriction, but it's hard to photoshop a convincing license for an industrial poison when you're already suicidally depressed. Which, from where these companies sit, is the whole point. As soon as Phil Nitschke started hyping SN, its days as an easily accessible tool were numbered. He's all but admitted that himself.
Ah, this is scary to think it might not be available in the US soon. I plan to ctb in late January - so four months from now! Wonder if I don't open the bottle it will be fine? Eh, anyone know?
It's against forum rules to post links, but just do a search for it. The small bottle is 30 grams, if I recall correctly. I haven't tested mine, but Jake has a tutorial at https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...-testing-kit-rough-version.18188/#post-384753

I have noticed that the SN supplier in the UK is not replenishing his stock of SN. Its a hard compound to legislate on as its industrially used in food processing. It possible that the 99% packages could be hit and only supplied to organisations registered but that would become a bureaucratic nightmare for small butchers and home hobbiests in meat curing.
Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where we could have proper access to peaceful means of saying goodbye to existence. Unfortunately, with the way I see the world working today, with economic incentives and stuff, I believe by the time people will start to seriously think about end-of-life matters, every peaceful method will become harder and harder to find. Especially if it becomes public knowledge. SN is still relatively under the radar but they've started using it to slaughter pigs so when they'll see more cases of self inducted methemoglobinemia it will be complicated. I'd argue that it's already kinda hard, what with having to order from Poland or eBay suppliers. I'm just glad I live in a time when we have internet, can't believe having to deal with this matter on my own. I'd be worse off.
Edit: I forgot to add that since it's used in the food industry, it may still be hard to legislate against it, idk.

I wonder if any minority group is hounded as systematically as us. Doesn't matter what political stance, what country, what anything, everybody agrees on making suicide as un-peaceful as possible. And dare call it prevention.

Need some help......I have buyed some SN recently from the local market here in India..........It shows its more than 98% pure but when I test it the results are negative. Also it was packed on Jan,2012
I broke salt into small pieces using a soon... took 10gms of it and added some water and then took 5ml of the solution and added the testing solution to that ....and waited for 5min.....but the color match shows that there is zero ppm nitrite in the solution. Please help me
One of two things, The Sodium Nitrite over time has converted to Sodium Nitrate or your test kit is faulty. My guess is the first one as you had to break it up and it should be in a crystal condition like salt or sugar
I did wonder this too, I know its used a lot in Bacon but again not it potent amounts. My friend who runs a Chinese restaurant can still buy it from Chinese supermarket in Bristol.

Mike Taylor has no love for feral hogs. He shoots them regularly on his 30-acre property in Anderson County and sees drivers hit them all the time...

Yeah I sometimes joke with myself that I'll be going as these poor hogs. Society doesn't bat a freaking eye seeing perfectly normal and healthy animals dying that way but somehow if it's a human suffering they should stay there just because.
They say it's a "humane" way to kill feral hogs, and that's what initially made me think it'd be a good solution for me as well. Experts say it's humane, well at least in my final moments I'll see if we lied to me all these years when we told me that all animals I ate died in a "humane" way. I'll have the truth.

I've been thinking about the possibility of it being taken off Amazon, so I ordered some now just in case. I heard it has a shelf life of 3 years if kept in good condition.

Common curing salt is less than 7% SN. The rest of it is table salt, which might land you on dialysis but won't kill you. There's not much reason to regulate that stuff, and it'd be hard to do.
Pure lab-grade SN is different. You can use it to cure your homemade sausage if you want, but why would you when there's a safer version that's even easier to buy (assuming you're not trying to ctb)? And if you do need 99%+ pure, you can probably prove it.
SN manufacturers are weighing two evils as we speak -- getting outed for knowingly selling a suicide drug or losing some home-hobby customers. It won't be a hard choice for most of them.
