Will consuming bleach actually kill me?

I haven't properly tried it before, but I consumed a very small amount during a half assed attempt and pretty much nothing happened besides a little bit of throat and chest pain which was very minor. And my mouth tasting like chlorine. If I were to consume a large quantity of bleach, would I actually die? On the bottle itself, and everywhere else on the internet it's guaranteed to kill me apparently. But I saw some comment on a thread once saying that it's a terrible method and will do nothing besides cause immense pain and damage to your body. I wouldn't wanna waste my time trying to kill myself just to end up surviving and being in crazy pain. :/

Sadly something easy and common to get as bleach isn't that good of a method. If it was more viable then they won't be selling it.

Oh christ, drinking bleach is not a good way to go.

I could only manage 3 mouthfuls, vomited immediately and profusely after each one. My vomit was Black, And I couldn't swallow for 2 days. I was spitting in a plastic bag when my mouth filled up with saliva. The stench of bleach for days no matter how many times you brush your teeth will linger.. frigging awful.

This is definitely an unreliable method, I don't recommend

My 17 year old self tells you not to even think about doing it, I used to mix a little detergent and bleach and swallow it hoping to die until one day I said, fuck it, I can't take it anymore. I filled a whole glass of bleach and drank it. I was suffocating, trying to throw up while I was drowning, it was a horrible experience, my mind was like (fuck, fuck, fuck I don't want it anymore, I don't want it anymore, I don't want to die anymore) until I went quickly to the bathroom and managed to throw it all up, my stomach was fucked up that day. It was an unpleasant experience, pretty horrible, and in my case, I wouldn't have cared if I had managed CTB that day, but here I am. The only thing I achieved was severe diarrhea for 40 minutes the next day after this attempt. All you're going to get is an unpleasant experience and the risk of surviving with major damage to your body. It's not worth it. Please don't do it and discard this method.
