Discussion Why is suicide less radical than skydiving

Bare with me, this is a very silly rhetorical question thats been stuck on my mind.

Why is suicide less radical than moving away/living in a forest, or any other peaceful living way?
Why do so many opt out of their own life before trying to change their ways?

I've often wondered why some complain about family stress, maybe work, or other certain themes, to me it seems like the truth is that some """"Entity"""" has hijacked a humans freedom
Its crazy that suicide is a more tought about option than simply moving away, or trying something new, we all have our hands tied behind our backs.
Its like viewing those movies where a group of retirees venture off to france or something and spend the entire 2 hours either finding a new partner whilst drinking wine or some shit.

Capitalism has truly hijacked every single faucet of human freedom.
my dad used to tell me stories about how he moved around like 6 european countries, and had traveled nearly the world, whilst being broke.

it's a really great point how it's our immediate thought rather than being able to pack up and new to a new city. it really has hijacked every facet of human freedom. the good news is that it's in the death knell phase (whether the elites accept it or not). your point brings me back into my half-beliefs in reincarnation. so many lifetimes, the world gets worse enough to life in despite all the advancements.

We all live in fear, but much of it is understandable fear.

Suicide is idealized as being easier to do than have the mental capacity to adapt to scary life changes or produce the resources necessary to do those interesting things.

For me, sure I'd love to vagabond, but within the confines of a safety net (being able to stay as hotels instead of on the street).

I'd also love to live off-grid but I don't have the resources to build a cabin, have a generator, stockpile food and weapons, etc.

Even the people who go to Vegas or Florida or whatever and have one last hurrah with drugs and strippers have the money to do it in the first place.
