Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

People are so quick to say that life is great, full of opportunity, wonder, etc yet when a person is suicidal they are burdened with costs of care for continuing a life they don't even want. Why isn't care free whether in/out patient?
Healthcare will never be free in the US because people need to make money (which is needed to survive and which is what the world revolves around). The medical field is one of the biggest industries in the world, it's basically a cartel which rakes in billions every year. There's a reason why so many people want to be doctors: because it pays super well. Doctors make like $200k a year, with some specialties even making close to $500k. At the end of the day, healthcare is just a business. Kind of hypocritical for a profession where the job is "helping people", right? If they truly wanted to help us, they wouldn't charge us exorbitant costs and leave so many people in medical debt. Unfortunately, people will always profit off of sick people, that's just how the world is. They don't even view us as human beings, rather they just view us as cash cows: ways to profit and make even more money.
Caring about a person is hard. Especially a random person you don't know. A person who probably behaves in ways you don't really like very much. Those are the people we are.
Saying that life is great, full of opportunity, wonder, is an ideology. People form identities related to ideologies and can be quite attached to them. More so than they're attached to really caring about a stranger. This is what they believe to be true. They need to believe it's true, or how else would they keep going? Who are you to challenge their glass house? You're just an invader. It's why whatever compassion there is for suffering people it's quickly turned to hate if they start poking holes in one's worldview.
It's like homeless people. Homeless people signal that something is wrong. People don't want to admit that, so they just blame the homeless for their situation instead.
Ironically, they want both groups to go away, but somehow in some manner that is unnoticeable to them.
Because they don't care, most of the health care ppl don't care. That therapist charging you 60usd an hour can't possibly care about you, because people who need that help might not be able to afford 60 an hour. We are kept alive because we have more value alive, they can use us to get insurance to pay, they can make us pay. There's just more money to be gained than charging a one time fee for letting us die.
