Blame evolution I guess. Our body is built to survive no matter what, its why you start moving your limbs like crazy when you get dropped into water, run faster than you have ever ran when chased by a hostile animal, etc.

Because even know suicide is all that feels rational to me as humans we are all programmed to survive, we have the survival instinct that is separate from logical thought, it's how we've evolved. It's so cruel to me and awful how it's so unnecessarily difficult to permanently escape from all the meaningless suffering existing causes.

I will start by saying I'm a skeptic and a non-believer.
In religions like Hinduism etc., yogis engage in deep meditation to reach "mahasamadhi". There is something similar in Buddhism as well, which monks do.
But I think it's not possible for a lay person to be successful at this, even if it is possible scientifically
