No one else will listen, at least in my case. I'm alone and don't have anyone else to talk to. People here actually care about what you have to say.
Where else can you talk about this? I tried talking about it with a family member who cares and she said she was going to have to go into therapy because of this. I asked her please not to, I want to keep this private, we just won't talk about this any more.

I've noticed this as well. People on here tend to use more words, even if it's not about ctb. Myself included most of the time. For me, people here actually listen and i can relate more to what's being asked or talked about i guess. More passionate about the discussion? Most, if not all of us, have something in common
No one has the time to be around 24/7 or I mess things up with them, and I have a void that cannot be filled in me. When time seems finite it's nice to get some things off my chest that I can't say anywhere else or there won't be anyone to listen. And even then there's so much I wish I could say and cannot. This forum gives me peace of mind since there are others who can relate, or I can just write and let the words out before they disappear into oblivion.

I love my SS peeps. Other places I'm anxious to post. This is home. In a way I wish I could write and share more of myself. Maybe as time goes on, I will.
It is helpful to vent when you're stuck with your own thoughts. There are Facebook forums that are "private" but always usually a friend of a friend and privacy isnt like it is here. No one knows who you really are.

It's natural for people to want to speak and be heard. Sometimes the hurt demands it in a way. Letting out the awfulness and having people come to you with empathy sometimes helps balance you back to feeling human. Once it's released it loses it's hold and you go forward with more calmness inside. Not more happiness, but a sense of solace is what I feel.
I honestly have no idea. not like anyone here cares either, its just another dumpster for some reason I, I wish I didn't so I can stop kidding myself like a bitch. I was doing fine for a while, then I found myself back here when two methods of mine failed; why i felt the need to post about it i have no idea, just being a stupid ass once again. alone in reality, die alone in reality, why kid myself with fakeness. I'm more focused on dying more than ever and posting here seems to get in the way of that. its sad and ridiculous I managed to still be alive all this time. It's bullshit. i wish i could snap the life out of this damned survival instinct or whatever.
Guess its time to rethink throat slitting or something cause this being alive is really getting to me. never took a drug in my life and one time i needed it to act on impulse i cant get it. fuck get over this shit. cant stand to even look at that thing that'll never come true just a big fuck you middle finger to the face. "in your dreams" they say.
i wish dying would stop being a dream and just happen already

I've noticed people truly listen here and if they aren't writing a nice response to you, they're making their own posts for you to reply to. It's a little community and people like to be active<3

I do not know, but maybe it is just a way to pass the time. All that humans are doing is just passing time until they die, life is just a distraction from death. Life is very meaningless after all and nothing really matters.

Some people just like to vent out their feelings and thoughts more than others. Plus, it is very difficult (sometimes impossible) to talk to the so called 'normal people' of the world. Some get sent to Psychiatric units just for talking about this stuff. It's a haven for people with mental and/or physical health challenges. Would you rather the forum stayed silent and nobody wrote posts? Just curious.
I think if people were limited to one thread/day, maybe even 3/week, and perhaps 5-10 comments a day, the quality of comments would greatly improve (or at least there would be far less garbage).

No judgement is pretty huge for me. Watch this: Hey everyone, I think about committing suicide every single day. I just typed something brutally honest about myself and no one is going to yell at me, lecture me, threaten me, try to lock me up (all things that happened in the past irl to me).
The ability to speak freely without worry of being treated like shit is amazing. As some others have also said, the empathy and understanding is equally amazing as well.

Reddit is useless. You either get worthless platitudes from people who don't full comprehend your situation, get unsolicited advice, or hotline numbers shoved in your inbox. Or if you're like me, you get told not to post in the r/depressed subreddit because you shot down people's advice, even though your post didn't ask for advice ?_?
I cannot say anything to my family, especially my mother since she is in denial and doesn't think that suicide is the best course of action for me.
Don't want to burden any of my friends. Even one of my friends like 7 years ago cut ties for a few years because I threatened suicide and they called the cops but the cops didn't believe them (Thank goodness that they didn't).
There is no judgment here. And I have already made 3 threads here where I got some level of interaction, none of which involving unsolicited advice and/or platitudes, and I have so far gotten along with everyone on this board I have interacted with.
I feel more at home here, tbh while I wait for my time to come.
