I drank a Red Bull this morning to try it but it literally didn't do anything to me. In fact, I think it even made me more relaxed. Why is this the case? It tasted good though; it was kind of citrusy. I just got the strawberry apricot one and I'm gonna try it tomorrow morning and see what happens

What did you expect to happen, give you wings and start flying 😂♥️.

In all honesty Red Bull doesn't do shit really. Depends how sensitive you are to caffeine and taurine. I could drink 10 cans of Red Bull and not feel a thing.

Yeah, the slogan is "Red Bull gives you wings" so that's what I expected to happen lol. I have ADHD and a pretty high caffeine tolerance. I don't know how taurine affects me though. Isn't it an amino acid?

Yeah, it's basically just an energy drink full of sugar and caffeine. Doesn't do a damn thing really.

The only time I've ever felt anything from an energy drink was when drinking 3 cans of 500ml Monster Ultra White in the space of about 45 mins. Just made me jittery. Red Bull does nothing for me personally.

Seeing as you mentioned you have ADHD, unfortunately caffeine is rarely going to work on you. It is likely that you are in that small percentage of people who are unaffected by caffeine.
As a redbull fanatic, it works the best for me when it comes to keeping me awake. If you want to give caffeine another chance, I would suggest stronger brands with a caffeine content >120mg.
I strongly advise you be careful with caffeine. ADHD and caffeine don't typically work very well together. Though, I do not have ADHD so I am not fully versed; this is just what I've observed in my friends with ADHD.

Red Bull tastes awful. I find the coffee energy drinks to be more enjoyable and more effective.

I drink a lot of coffee but I hadn't tried energy drinks until this morning. What are the stronger brands? I'll try them out and see what happens

What are the coffee energy drinks? Which brands? I've never had energy drinks before today; Red Bull is the first one I've tried haha. It tasted good imo

I have a similar experience with caffeine. It never really gives me more energy. It just feels like it centers me, if anything. But then I tend to have a bit of a backwards reaction to things. Like sugar makes me drowsy almost instantly, whereas it's supposed to make you bounce off the walls. Or maybe that's only when you're a kid.

You've likely built up a tolerence to caffeine, making the effects of the Red Bull less noticeable. I'd say either try cutting down on your caffeine consumption for a bit so that the next time you try it you are able to feel the effects from it, or just get a stronger energy drink. I heard Bang Energy was supposed to be pretty strong, but that's just based off of what one YouTuber said about it after trying it. Here's a website that ranked a bunch of energy drinks based on their caffeine content.

You took Adderall at one point, right? I'm not surprised red bull wouldn't quite have a kick.

Too much caffeine mostly just makes me jittery. Although I've gotten pretty used to a cup of coffee in the afternoon if I don't take ritalin

I don't know what's available where you live but Starbucks Double or Triple Shots and Java Monsters are the main ones that come to mind.

I don't know anything about their caffeine content or other nutrition information but I do know these usually work for me but I'm actually very sensitive to caffeine even though I'm also addicted to it. A can of Coke is enough to keep me up all night.

Everyone has different tolerances, I used to drink a full bottle of whiskey in one evening and still be able to walk kinda straight.
It was the second bottle that did it for me

its the same for me!
do you have ADHD?
coffeine can have a relaxing effect instead of being energizing in individuals with ADHD.
someone i know drinks a red bull every night before bed time because it makes her sleepy 😅

Yeah, I used to take Adderall for ADHD. I thought that energy drinks would be stronger than coffee but I guess not. I just drank the strawberry apricot Red Bull but nothing happened lol

In people with anxiety, their brain chemistry is a bit unique. Caffeine, instead of acting as a stimulant, can have a calming effect due to their dopamine levels. This might lead to feeling sleepy when others are wide awake after caffeine. Tbh ngk tbqh srs
