  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

" if humans are born to live but die one day, why not just die already? "
you might have heard this somewhere or maybe you once told this
you see we all know we die, but I think what makes this world even more interesting
is the fact that we know we die one day.
"We have 2 lives, and the second is when we realize we only have one"
Isn't it so interesting?
the fact that you want to die so early?
why?
what will you get from it?
what is the reason?
do you consider the people around you?
can you imagine the people's faces when they attend your funeral?
will you be happy if you do it?
is it worth it?
will you not change it?
are you sure?
how about yourself?
do you love hurting yourself?
why?
why would you do that?
I get it, it's hard to choose something.
but I promise you, do what you want
it's all on you.
but let me tell you...
if you choose death its all over
but if you choose life you can always start over
you can leave your house
find a job
find friends
find love
find your family
and hate your enemies
but as I said
even if you choose death or life
I know you will still be happy in the end.

Because if life is hell, and hell is hell, then reducing the hell part that is on earth reduces the total amount of hell experienced for one's eternity. But a good post - thanks.

Because I don't want to live in a world where I cannot have the ideal life I want just to grow old and die.

Conversely, we all die eventually, so why does it matter if we die early? We are all replaceable.

Since we're going to die anyway, and our short existence is meaningless, it's better to take control over how you die. If you wait and let life decide for you, the "best" you can hope for is probably repeated heart attacks, because you rarely die from them the first time. That's the best case scenario. So I think it's better to CTB instantly and painlessly.

Also even if there is some pleasure to be had for staying alive a few years longer, you won't miss out on it when you're dead because you won't have a consciousness to be able to miss out on anything. You'll have no brain or thought or any feelings when you don't exist. So you won't miss out on anything.

I think that's what makes this world bearable. Life without an escape, that is, eternal life, sounds like a nightmare.

I find it much more interesting that there are people who want to reach old age and see their mental and physical abilities decline in the process.

What will you get from being alive that you would miss if you were dead?

Yes, that's its main appeal. I don't understand why this is always cited as an argument against suicide.

It can also always get worse, and since I personally prioritise the minimisation of pain over the maximisation of pleasure, killing myself is the logical course to take.

Complete agreement on my part.
We humans think our lives are more significant than the billions who died before us. The reality is, less than 1% are actually contributing to society in a meaningful way.

Death is certainly my only solution. To me, life is very pointless. I see no point to suffering for decades and then just die from old age. The thought of being alive for so much longer is horrifying. If I was to die sooner, it would prevent a lot of pain.

When I am dead, I cannot suffer and nothing can hurt me then. I was perfectly fine not existing until I was forced to live and I want to return to non existence. Life is also very unnecessary and I think that I should have never been born in the first place.
