A German public broadcaster had an article how the Epstein files have consequences mostly for European leaders and less for Americans. This is something that also puzzles me when I thought about it. Are Americans so used to it? Or is there so much propaganda that even the fucking files are not considered evidence? You know there is no transparency. There are a lot of lies. That's true. But it is insane how people like Bannon or Gates can weasel out with no consequences. American elites are too powerful to fall no matter how much dirt they have on them seemingly. I wonder because usually in the US it is a way bigger scandal if two people in the same company have a sexual affair. In Germany this would not have this extreme consequences. It seems for me to be a double standard when it comes to Epstein associates.
I didn't search for my name in the Epstein files but I am confident you won't find it. Merkel is in the files. Epstein texted with a diplomat from the middle east. The diplomat sent him a fake nude of Angela Merkel as teenager. So proud to be a German citizen. The only dirt Americans have on us are fake nudes. Not even deep fake nudes. They exist out there though. No advisory to search for that in the case of Merkel.
There is one German AI researcher that talked openly about how Epstein funded him. There are some people from German startups and a few people from the economic elites.
I would have been really surprised when a high German politician was part of the Epstein class. Germans are just too boring. They would denunce each other for having sex even in the case minors were not involved. I could imagine one reason why there are less (or no I actually don't know anyone) German politicians in the files. I think money is not the most important factor in Germany for a politicial career. It is one factor but the risk would outweigh. The connections are more important but I don't think the Epstein connections would be extremely helpful in building a national career. Our politicians are not smarter or more morally upright. I could not imagine it with the kind of political elite in Germany. Like a Merkel or Scholz in the Epstein files unimaginable. They are bureaucrats. Germans like boring politicians. The ones who can talk much in talk shows and drink a beer during Oktoberfest. A Macron would have no chance in Germany to become chancellor.
I think though the AfD politicians could fit into the Epstein class. But the AfD was too small to that time. Epstein and Bannon actually talked about the AfD and that they hope for a rise in the upcoming election So you see there are sympathies. On the other hand, there are many opportunist German politicians who leave their own party to make a career in the AfD.
The German scandals are more subtle. Look up cum-ex files. It isn't what you might think now. Wirecard might be more dramatic. German politcians are seen very critically when they show their wealth. There is a lot of envy and hatred for the rich where I live. There was so much mockery for Friedrich Merz when he considered himself to be part of the upper-middle class in an election campaign. Even the conservative outlets ripped him to pieces for that. He is a millionaire and postures as an average citizen. We hated that.
