Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I get the feeling Scott Bessent is the smartest guy within the Trump administration. He is compared to the others sane but opportunistic enough to play his role in this spectacle. I think he had a gut feeling Trump would win again. He is good at dealing with us Europeans. Many politicians and negotiaters with Trump hope for his influence on him. But Trump is usually the guy with the last word in the room. I don't think Bessent is the one who calls the shots. But he is good at selling Trump's policies. People like Bessent swim against the current. They call media narratives that are based on nothing. I don't think he is an ideologue. He is gay I could imagine personally he does not stand behind certain Trump policies...that's speculation though.

Ideologically, I think J.D. Vance is the mastermind together with Russ Vought. There are certain people Musk, Thiel, Deneen, Yarvin, Oren Cass who all are contributing to it.

The person who holds the crew together might be Susie Wiles.

But actually the administration seems to serve billionaires the most. And some of them don't like the spotlight...It is hard to say say are billionaires now the actors in this spectacle, or the audience that gets served or both at the same time?

Does it matter? Democrats are often puppets to their donors as well. It's not like the person you vote for is actually running on things he believes and intends to fight for and works to fight for you when he/she is elected. Some are better than others, but it's like the government itself is almost designed to only encourage the worst people to want to be there. Even if a random good person somehow gets in, they will be squashed by the multitude of others who want to do things for themselves and their wealthy donors.

We probably need radical change to even have a hope... as in, everyone in office needs to be voted out at the same time... sweep it clean and start over. But that's not going to happen.
