I would also have to say the most human Abe Lincoln.
Lincoln killed the last vestiges of ancient régime in the Americas, and Roosevelt buried it in the Old World.

America is such a weird country, an empire with cheat codes enabled, with oceans for moats. It could do whatever it pleased. It put the man on the Moon while losing the space race, and then said, "screw space, we're exporting pornography and Islamic fundamentalism now". And they did.

On the topic of presidents - I might add, it's highly ironic how Kennedy is worshipped by right-wingers even though he was the one who desegregated schools at gun point.

And regarding my own country - it would be cool to blame Bush Sr for the fall of the Soviet Union, but it looks to me like the USSR fell apart on its own, and Bush was just kind of there as a passenger. Such a missed opportunity.

Or take Clinton - a warlord who bombed Yugoslavia, got impeached over extramarital coitus. Domestic affairs take precedent over the foreign ones.

Bush Jr was one funny chap, heard the voice of Jehovah, then presided over the economic crash.

Obama got the Nobel Peace prize for invading Syria & Libya.

The Orange Man didn't built the wall, but the sheep are still voting for him.

Now two old White Men are robbing America of a possible non-White non-male president in 2024, and everyone is cheering, lmao yikes.

And finally, what if Biden is the final President? What if Mark Zuckerberger and Elon Musky plunge us into AI singularity sufficiently rapidly so that Joe the Hairy Legs enters the first cohort of people with an indefinite lifespan?

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a nose sniffing a child's neck — forever.

Accomplished the most for humanity? Maybe FDR.
Best American presidents? Hmm…
I'm gonna put George Washington on there because he had the opportunity that he could have taken to become king of America and he didn't do that. And that takes an amount of character that very few people posses. I think that puts him up on the list of some of the greatest people in the history of mankind. Whether he had slaves or not.
I like Theodore Roosevelt because I think it would be great if he was the president now. I like his approach to foreign policy.
I like Abraham Lincoln because he did not let the South get away with that bullshit. And he had enough foresight to see that a divided America would mean only death and destruction and constant war and he knew he couldn't allow that to happen.
I'm going to say controversy Nixon. Because he did something that Kennedy and Johnson didn't have the character to do and got out of Vietnam (after expanding it with things like Operation Menu, Christmas Bombings, ect). He also created the EPA, Consumer Product Safety Commission, he help jump start the war on cancer, he initiated and oversaw the peaceful desegregation of southern schools, he gave Native Americans the right to tribal self-determination by ending the policy of forced assimilation and returning their land, he participated in some nuclear treaties with the USSR, he stepped up the war on crime, he had some other accomplishments.
He also did bad things like starting the war on drugs, corruption at Watergate, failed economic policy especially price controls, ect.
JFK - successfully defused the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also inspired Americans by vowing to put a man on the moon, and he supported progress on civil rights.
I haven't read enough about Jefferson, Truman and Eisenhower.
