Would we allow our beloved pets to die horribly from a protracted terminal illness?
I doubt it and that is why we carry the most humane procedure of killing them, without their consent.
And yet humans are often capable of expressing their wish to die in the setting of.intractable suffering. I believe the mind and body is inseparable and the human being exists therein.
And yet my sound mind is questioned by the authority that upholds the sanctity of life, the same authority that must accept that many people are suffering terrible deaths, often without adequate symptom control, symptoms relief and pain management.
Until assisted dying is legalised globally, the pain and suffering will continue, whilst the authorities turn their blinded thinking away to more palatable subjects. I THEREFORE question the sound mind of the authority, that allows the suffering to continue.
