Oh, yeah? Is that because of a fear of reincarnation or is there something specific about gnosticism that clicks with you?
I've started to believe that earth is a prison planet and why would a prisoner voluntarily go back to the prison? I want to escape, I don't want to have to experience this life thing all over again
"But here steps in Satan, the eternal rebel, the first freethinker and the emancipator of worlds. He makes man ashamed of his bestial ignorance and obedience; he emancipates him, stamps upon his brow the seal of liberty and humanity, in urging him to disobey and eat of the fruit of knowledge."
- Mikhail Bakunin

Also, just a reminder that there is only one instance of Satan killing people in the bible and even that was with gods involvement. (Job 1:6-22)
Why was it bad to eat the fruit of knowledge? Isn't knowledge power and a good thing? Why would God want to keep people in the dark/ignorant?

I've always wondered in Budhism, where are all the new souls coming from? Other planets? The population has been growing. In 1950 it was ~3 billion people. Now it's ~8.1 billion.
Besides going to a Buddhist school at one point, I got very into Zen Buddhism for many years at one point.

I've wondered this as well. I heard that they came from animals as well as other things. Apparently lifeforms level up to eventually become human. They could be coming from other planets as well

Read the Penitence of Adam, it talks about how the Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Life grew together to become a single tree and how its wood was used to make the cross, help build the ark and used in other famous Biblical events. Interesting mythology/folklore, while not being totally cannon. 🤷‍♀️ at one point I was enrolled in a phd program for divinity of theological seminary because I wanted to become a priest.

Where do all the new animals come from? 🤔 does this apply to aliens, too? Are machines just an imitation of life? What about the "ghosts in the machines?"

I don't think there should really be any question on whether viruses are alive. They evolve through natural selection, they reproduce, they have parasites of their own, some of the larger ones even have their own metabolism.

I've seen two arguments against it – one, that they don't have cells , and second, that they don't have their own ribosomes to make proteins. In the first regard, I see no reason that cells are essential to being alive (I think that it is a biased position from people who happen to have cells_). In the second regard, Isaac Asimov settled it for me when he pointed out that a woodcutter who borrows an ax is still a woodcutter even though he doesn't have his own ax.

What do you mean by the Truth? I've read a book called The Awaken of Intelligence by Krishnamurti and it mentions that, and by reading it I also believe it's not possible for us humans to achieve it.
Truth exists, but is subject to perspective. (Subjective)
Facts are more so objective.
Yeah, prison planet theory is based upon gnosticism. Personally I need to look into gnosticism more, I mainly browse the r/escapingprisonplanet subreddit lol. My goal is to escape the soul trap in this lifetime, I'd hate to have to get reincarnated again

Also what do you mean by racial memories and things that are embedded in the race? Like generational trauma?

Racial memory is a concept in Jungian psychology. Racial memories are posited memories, feelings and ideas inherited from our ancestors as part of a "collective unconscious".
There is a collective unconscious (which can be manipulated through propaganda), but I see it is emerging from individual unconsciousnesses rather than being something separate.

Jungian archetypes are basically ubiquitous sapient fascinations - power, sex, uncertainty, lust, love, ect.
Many of the Jungian archetypes can be seen in other species.

I don't think a "good god" is a coherent concept. I think to have god-like power, evil is implied, simply because that god had to ... appear as part of some process, and that process requires contesting power in some real way. And in that contest, one can be good and express goodness, which means not doing evil( a limitation) but evil does not share this limitation. Evil can appear to do good in a perfectly convincing way( that's a function of evil), However, good can't do evil in a convincing way-- it's limited in that sense. Therefore, evil is more powerful than good, and if we're talking power(gods), they can only be evil. The same is true for power in general, here on Earth. The most powerful thing that exists on Earth today, appears to be deeply evil in nature in a way that cannot be defeated by something good.

Christians are taught to fear God over Satan. It doesn't really matter who you think is good/bad, the obvious answer is who holds more power. God.

It depends. Are we talking about Yahweh or are we talking about more neutral entity like the Source?
As for Satan. Are we talking about Lucifer or Antichrist or the Devil?
