I was just trying to post what mine would be..but it gave me trouble posting..said "I timed out" or something crazy. ..but ya know,
I would not be opposed to going with yours!
Hmm, I would likely want a pretty shade of blue
.
For the song, oh my, well I plan on making a playlist for when "the time arrives". ..but rn, Im thinking something from Chris Cornell(I absolutely LOVE his voice and esp when they formed the group Audioslave--after him first being the singer for Temple of the Dog & Soundgarden). Oh Shoot!..so I had 2 songs from Audioslave, which would be: "Im am the Highway" and "Like a Stone"....but then when I was just typing Soundgarden & Temple of a Dog.... I thought that I would also want to hear "Fell on Black days" and then MOST Definitely "Say Hello to Heaven". Dang, so probably the latter one I named from his first group now that I'm hearing it in my head.
When my depression from chronic illness started to really sink in(approx in the year 2018-19)..I used to get up every day and play this "Live version of: 'Say hello to Heaven' ". I have an AWESOME surround sound system. (Sigh-its currently in a storage unit in VA though and I moved last year..but STILL HAVE YET to get ALLLL my stuff out of storage-issues man, just frkn ISSUES
- lol, but seriously!). Anyway, I would play that song as the first of the day with my coffee. It was when I realized I had battled this stupid illness reaching over a half of decade at that point. I also was grieving over my other half of 20 years that died at only 39 years old. I wished it had been me
. Oh God, I still get choked up. Just everything in "that time period" was when I realized, life could be real effing sh*tty. Im going to see if I can figure out how to post the best version of "Say hello to Heaven" w/ Chris Cornell singing it live(aka, the version I would listen to for days on end back in that time frame). ....sorry for getting off topic a bit guys!
Chris Cornell 'supposedly' died suicide by hanging in his hotel room after doing a show with his band Soundgarden in 2017. All the songs I named above that he wrote are mostly about depression and death. ...hence another reason why they would feel appropriate to ctb to them....
