If you aren't found then anyone who cares about you will worry every day that you may have been kidnapped and may be being abused every day- if there is anyone who cares about you at all it's better to let yourself be found rather than to put them through this.

A note helps, but it's pretty tough to find someplace you won't be found. I hope you find peace somehow. :)

I guess somewhere really isolated where there is no people around. I think that leaving a note would be the right thing to do, to give those left behind some form of closure. It is understandable not wanting to traumatise others. I wish that we lived in a world where euthanasia is legalised, so then nobody would have to be traumatised by finding a body. I'm sorry for all the suffering that has brought you to this point. I wish you relief from pain in whatever you decide to do.

pretty hard question, if you can go somewhere, than anyone can, best would be in a house/apparment locked with only you inside, all windows clothed, lights on to make it seem there is life inside (so that way people think there's some activity, they will notice more the presence of light at night then the absence of it), also discourages robberies, would be ironic to be saved by breaking in thieves hahaha, but yeah, i would say in general, a locked place would be the best, with nobody having spare keys, try also to hide your suicidal intensions to anyone, even strangers, fake happiness etc... no bad emotions, or no jobs etc... become a bit distant, but not too much so it's not suspicious, say you are busy so people don't worry and come check in, and when you're finally ready, give the room a nice taint of red :) best of luck friend, may you find peace

You'd have to be out in the country oretty far in you are in the u.s. If you are in a metro area the gunshot will be identified right away by the police and they will be there before long, somehow any gunshots in a metro area show up on some kind of mapping device.

Most cities have active microphones that listen for gunshots and narrow down the position. There are ways to muffle the shot that are easy enough. You just need to look. Otherwise you need to be outside of a metro area by at least 10mi/17km
