  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

I live in southeast Michigan and I'm trying to find a place to jump that is high enough to guarantee success. So far I've only been able to find a parking garage where I could access the roof but I don't think it's high enough. It would be deeply appreciated if anyone could let me know of somewhere that is high enough.

Are you sure that's the method you want? It's not a peaceful way to go at all. There's no way to guarantee how you'll land and most people don't die instantly.

Most people in the u.s. live in areas where there is not a good jumping location- if there are buildings high enough there is no access to the roiof and high up windows- there is a method that won't work for most people here.

Have you tried googling the tallest buildings and bridges in your state? There should be some lists over the heights, names and locations for that. Maybe that could help? I don't think parking garages would be tall enough, it would be risky and the rate of success isn't that high if its too low of a height.

Guaranteed success when it comes to suicide is not possible. Every method has variables outside of our control, regardless of the level of planning.

Not to discourage you, but unfortunately jumping is never a guaranteed success, regardless of height. People have survived 39 story falls (see below link), and a woman even survived an aircraft accident after falling from roughly 33,000 feet.

It's not necessarily the method I want but I don't really have access to any of the other methods so jumping seems like what I have to settle for

Off a bridge into a river? It seems to work when people do it accidentally.

I live in Mid-Michigan and we have the Zilwaukee Bridge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zilwaukee_Bridge I've considered this method briefly, but I have a fear of heights. So, it would be too terrifying for me.
Please reconsider. Idk what you are going through, but this isn't what you need. Find help, suicide hotline, therapy, meds. It works. Please.
Reported. This is not the Recovery Forum.

Have you looked into the parking garages near the Detroiy Symphony Orchestra area? I think they are pretty tall.
