would love to hear your beliefs and thoughts on where a suicide soul goes once they pass?

I must admit, I do have fears around passing in this way based on things I've read. But I still hope and pray that god is loving and forgiving and allows the souls who pass this way to no longer suffer and be supported on the journey back home.

I still hold onto hope there is something after. I just hope it's beautiful and I'm reunited with my loved ones

Maybe it would be like this, I would see my great love again. But I haven't believed in fairy tales for a long time now. Maybe it's because I'm European, maybe it's because I'm of French origin and our culture is increasingly distant from the idea of a life beyond life.

I'm a Christian, but I've studied the Scriptures in their original languages and concluded that there is no "soul" in the traditional sense of an immaterial substance that humans have beside their physical body. The word soul is in Hebrew nephesh and just means life or sentient being. So technically animals would have a "soul" too. In Greek the word psyche is often translated as soul, but also equally often as life. So a human is just a physical body and consciousness a product of a functioning brain. So when you die you simply stop living and return to dust, and will be as unconscious as a dreamless sleep.

BUT, the Biblical afterlife is a physical resurrection happening at the last day when Jesus returns (John 5:28-29). So you will be recreated and then stand before the judgment seat (Revelation 20:12). If you have trusted that Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again the third day and that He is your personal savior (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Ephesians 2:8-9), then you are saved and will pass on to live forever on the new earth in a physical body that feels no pain, sorrow, sin or decay (Revelation 21:4). So for sure, IF suicide is a sin, it is forgiven and covered by the blood of Jesus like all other sins. Those who rejected the gospel will be executed for their sins by being cast into the lake of fire and burn up and cease to exist after that execution (Revelation 21:8).

But until that last day of human history, the dead just go into the grave. So you will be unconscious until that day. There is no afterlife except physical resurrection.

Christians in the west have totally forgotten that the biblical afterlife is a PHYSICAL resurrection. Since the 1200s there has been more of an emphasis on afterlives being a ghostly state of being and eventually cartoons caricatured the "Christian" afterlife as floating in the clouds. But that is totally distant from what the Bible actually teaches. The early Christian confessions mention nothing about "going to heaven" or dismebodied souls but rather the "resurrection of the flesh". For example the 5th century Apostle's Creed mentions "carnis resurrectionem"

My idea of our souls passing on to heaven is maybe a return to our childhood innocence again, riding our bicycle with friends, summer picnic at the beach with family. I feel Hell would only be reserved for the truly evil with no compassion. In all honesty i feel there is simply nothing at the end, but that may be its own heaven, no worry and no regrets.

Hopefully, nothing.

If there is something after death, it's a bad ending for me.

Whatever happens after death is exactly what I deserve.

Gigi Young (anthroposophist) claims that suicides remain earth-bound.

Others claim they go to hell, or become reincarnated.

I don't know where we would go.

I've come across too many mystical experiences and theories to be able to deny the existence of the soul/spirit/whatever with certainty.

There is another dimension out there.

Perhaps we are just within a mental/holographic universe - all occultists (and some scientists) point to this being the case.

Yes it's all a big mystery. If I knew the answers for sure I wouldn't be so terrified of CTB.

I really hope there isn't anything after this.
I was raised Catholic, so I still have a slight fear of the possibility of a Hell or Purgatory. It's often part of my SI, that I suddenly fear that concept.

The only afterlife I would be okay with, is if it's the same kind of weird absurdist dreamlike-state I've experienced in my short coma's. I kinda want to experience that kind of unconsciousness again, wouldn't mind that for the rest of eternity.

Yeah it's interesting the concept of going to hell or purgatory. That is too what I also fear and has stopped me from CTB in the past.
I use to love my life so much and now I hate it.

I have heard that the coma state is similar to NDE, at least from some of those that I've heard of. Thanks for your reply.

Traumatic brain injuries and dementia disprove the existence of a soul.
My definition of a soul is an immaterial entity, separate from our physical bodies, that will be granted a place in the afterlife (Heaven, Hell, purgatory, or any other immaterial realm that our physical bodies cannot access, or transferred into another entity to be "reborn"). The key part of this is that the soul is "immaterial", meaning that physical occurrences do not impact the soul. For example, death does not damage the soul, because the soul is "immortal" and when the physical body dies, the soul is transferred into another form (whether this other form is an afterlife or a rebirth or anything else is irrelevant). We can call this the "immateriality" requirement.
The other requirement for a soul is that it is a repository of who you are. This can include your memories, personality, emotional regulation, or if you have anything else you think should have been included please feel free to comment. I will summarize these traits into the "personality" requirement.
So this brings us to the concept of brain damage. Brain damage is when you incur an injury that damages your brain. Depending on where this injury is located, you can lose your emotions, memories, personality, or any combination thereof. The classic case is the case of Phineas Gage. However, Gage was hardly the first or only person to experience this, you can find many others.
If the soul is an immaterial repository of your personality, then why is it able to be damaged by something material like brain damage? Brain damage is not the only way either--tumors, drugs, alcohol, electricity, oxygen deprivation and even normal aging can also damage your brain and alter your personality.
If the soul is not immaterial, then why is it able to survive death? Why is a minor damage able to damage your personality, but not a huge damage like the entire organ decomposing?
If the soul does not involve your personality, then in what meaningful way is it "you"?
Traumatic brain injuries can cause memory loss, personality change and decreased cognitive functioning. This indicates the brain as the center of our consciousness and not a soul.
If a soul, a spirit animating the body, existed, it would continue its function regardless of damage to the brain. Instead we see a direct correspondence between the brain and most of the functions we think of as "us". Again this indicates a human machine with the brain as the cpu, not an invisible spirit
Besides the lack of any evidence for a soul, it's pretty easy to make a human appear soulless by damaging specific parts of brain matter. The brain drives consciousness and our experience of being human, once it dies so does the concept of us.

I'm hoping there's nothing. I used to hope there was a heaven where I would meet deceased loved ones but that could also include there being a God and a hell and, I don't think God plays fair by the looks of what goes on on earth. So now, I'd much prefer there to be nothing. It seems like the much safer option. As to what there really is, I have no idea.

I personally just believe death to be non-existence, I believe that once one loses consciousness that is it for them, they are gone. Non-existence truly is all I hope and wish for, I only hope to never suffer in this existence ever again, I'd never wish for the cruel and torturous burden of human existence, to me existence just feels like a terrible mistake, I only wish for the absence of all harm and suffering, I'm so tired of suffering in this existence I was never meant for.

There is no soul . A human is just 30 trillion cells . 30 trillion copies of the same cell core that evolved 4 billion years ago .

The brain is composed of 86 billion of these cells called neurons or nerve cells.

Imo it's a horrific abomination these 86 billion neurons connect into networks to create constant unbearable pain. What am I ? Answer a brain that can suffer unending constant unbearable pain

I have watched hundreds of near death experience videos on youtube and my belief is that we do have souls that go somewhere after we die. I am not religious but watching all those videos made me spiritual and fear death a lot less than I used to.
