I see goodbye, but I know it's farewell,
Your going on a journey that I want to join,
I know I'll make it one day as well,
When I decide to flip a coin.
A piece of me goes with you, I feel,
A bigger puzzle is yet to fill,
With you, me and countless others,
That will return peacefully to our fathers.
When we'll get to our final destination,
We'll have a rest and then we'll dine,
Filled with our own exhilaration,
I raise to you a glass of wine.
