Discussion What's your ideal death?

If you could have it your way, how would you like to die? Doesn't have to be suicide or even feasible. If it's a non-zero possiblity, it's valid. I'm curious.

Me personally, mid-to-late 20s, blood thinners and deeeep cuts looking out at some natural beauty, like a forest or a beach or something. I'd also like it to be raining, I just love the sound and feel and smell of it. I don't think I'd have any music playing.

At first I was gonna make a joke "yesterday"

But I think maybe my actual answer would be "sixteen years ago"

Once, I was passenger in a drunken vehicle, and a black pickup truck was speeding 110kmph in a 50kmph zone, driver had no seatbelt and also just about died. We blew a stop sign and the speeding truck hit the vehicle I was in, right on the passenger door where I was sitting. The car was crushed so bad I was sitting in the driver's lap. We were upside down. We slid across the intersection and skidded to a halt at the feet of two registered nurses.

I am pretty angry that I didn't die back then, to be honest. Like, people are all "it's such a miracle! Two ACTUAL NURSES just HAPPENED to be RIGHT THERE!"

And I just have to bite my god damn tongue the whole time. Yeah, real fuckin lucky dipshit. A real blessing. I wish I knew their names so I could ask them to do right and steal me some anesthetics.

So that death would have been sweet because the last thing I remember is playing a game of pool and the prize was jagerbomb shooters. I don't remember who had to buy the round. But it's a good memory. Got knocked so hard I have retroactive amnesia that erased quite a few hours prior to the accident.

Otherwise... my favourite death is whichever one comes to me quickly. I don't really have faith that I control my own behaviour. I'm really not sure if I'm in here at all or if all the concussions have done too much damage. I could be a robot ape doomed to observe itself enacting its survival instinct until my body is too decrepit to function.

idk i would kinda love it to be super messy in a really beautiful meadow or something ( feeling a lot of pain even though i hate that!! ) i'm not in my right mind rn haha

but i would never do something like that because i would never want to badly traumatize whoever finds my body…
so i guess dying in my sleep would be fine too.

I'd wanna just sleep and sleep forever (basically die in middle of sleeping). This way, I can die in a peaceful way. Or, I guess i could die when I am feeling impulsive... maybe that way things can just end quicker.

If it's up to me I'd choose to erase my existence so it's like I never existed at all, I just wish for this existence to disappear and be forgotten about. More than anything I wish I never existed, to have the ability to exist is beyond undesirable and I find it tragic how I had to exist when there were never any disadvantages to not existing at all.

Painless death by bloodletting. I have a strong attraction to violence and gore and I want my corpse to look kind of hot and artful when I'm gone, kind of like this. I've tried to ctb a few times by wrist slitting but always fail to break the skin because the pain scares me too much

Lay down on a bed of pine needles in a forest with the sounds of birds and a nearby stream. I would watch the sun through the branches until I drift off to sleep never to again wake. No one would find me and nature would claim back that which it has leant me.

It'd be nice to have someone administer… say, something to put me to sleep first, and then injected me with something else so that I'd never wake up. And it'd be nicer for that to happen… on, say, a farm out in nature, in a place where the weather is magically nice every day, while I'm sitting in a rocking chair, surrounded by loved ones who have all of their attention on me.

I wish to die in any way shape or form which showcases to my abusive ex partner how terribly abhorrent and existentially crushing she was to me to the point where I developed multiple stress-induced chronic medical illnesses & chronic pain conditions.

Yeah, that would suffice. I'm a pacifist with an education in psychology, therapy, compassion- and evidence-based healing modalities.

The kindest thing I can do for myself is say that I hope she rots in hell.

Whatever method makes her witness the hell I'm in would be great.
