What's your favourite suicide movie? Doesn't have to be too bleak. Doesn't have to be all about suicide but has to have a suicide as part of the film. Black comedies are a plus. Mine are.

a long way down and a silent voice are my two absolute favorite movies to do with suicide :) theyre both very cute and well told stories. a long way down is a bit cheesier but it has aaron paul in it which is how i found it

It's a really unique one, but one of the best I've ever watched. It's in Arabic, but since it's a slower and more implicit movie, the subtitles are enough. Would love to know how you liked it. :)

Leaving Las Vegas
Vanishing Point ( it is an old movie I stumbled into it recently it in a film fest.)

The Terrorist ( It's a Tamil language movie with English subtitles. One of the best movies from India. The cinematography is stunning. Actually the director himself is a Internationally famous cinematographer. A New York Times reviewer called the movie is scripted by camera. If you love visuals it's a treat. The movie is banned in India and many other countries. Good reason to watch)

Hell of a lot to unpack in this one. Probably a lot of cultural references I didn't get, but, on a personal level, I found it thoughtful and kinda emotional in the last 20 minutes. Oh, the old man was easily the best character in the film.

Yes, I remember looking for sad suicide movies when I was really down last year, and then that scene of the old man talking really got me, such a delicious twist. But let's not spoil everything ;)
The cultural references aren't really important, it's more about the underlying message. <3

I've been meaning to watch that film, Wristcutters, for a while. I'm surprised it's not mentioned in this thread, not that I've actually watched all it yet, but the trailer alone made it seem quite fitting.

It's not a "suicide movie" but probably Dead Poets Society. I just understand how Neil must've felt trapped and fucked in a situation like that with no way out... luckily he had access to firearms at least...

You mean the The Terrorist. Try You Tube. Amazon has DVD but bit expensive $13.99. I think you could download it cheaper. But be aware there two other movies with the same title. One is Egyptian movie came out 1994 and other another from I don't know where came out in 2018. The one I am talking about is from 1998. Look for The Terrorist by Santosh Sivan 1998. I checked Amazon they have the right DVD. I wouldn't trust You Tube. Good luck.

Look like a very good movie. I don't know how I missed it. It's an Iranian movie by the great Abbas Kiarostami. It must be in Persian then.

"They Shoot Horses, Don't They?". I don't know if I have even watched another one, but this one is good, and it's not anti-suicide.
