Well, my avatar makes it kind of obvious but my favorite movie of all time is The Muppets, the one that was made in 2011. As a kid I actually didn't like the Muppets or the Muppet show. I thought they were too weird and scary compared to Sesame Street which I really did love. Watching this movie changed my mind on all that. It showed me a whole world that I had missed and the story will go out of its way to make anyone who ever knew about them but forgot about them for a few years feel like such an asshole for letting them become a distant memory. I rarely cry at movies without dogs as the main focus of the story but this movie made me cry during the new Rainbow Connection scene when they all come out to sing it and I had never even seen the original movie!

I also related super hard to the new muppet they introduced, Walter. He was someone who was so passionate about something he was a fan of but got bullied for it because people saw it as childish which is just like I used to be about Pokémon. (Many other people born in 1994 only prefer the first generation while I was still into Gen 5). In the end he even finds his place among the very franchise he always admired which is something I wish I could have done.

Quoted from the other thread about favorite movies.

Over all? I don't know it's hard to say. I have some that have high sentimental value to me but aren't as good on their own and vice versa. I can at least say that I know what my favorite horror movie is: John Carpenter's The Thing.

Interesting choices!

The first two surprise me given your age.
I usually prefer movies/music that people from older generations like. I don't fit in very well with my generation.

Too much to list lol but I love lots from 60s, 70s 80s 90s..not too much from early 2000s on. Alice in Chains is my favorite band. I also love Janis Joplin. That's one thing my parents did right is introduce me to great music!

Was listening to Alice in Chains last night!

Several years ago, I was in the steam room in the gym, and in walks some young woman wearing an Alice in Chains t shirt. I tell her, "nice t shirt. I love listening to them while working out; it pumps me up and makes me want to run through a wall". Whe says, "makes me want to go to sleep".

Amazing how music can impact two people exactly the opposite.

One of my closest friends and I both love The Smiths/Morrissey, but he tells me he has to be careful listening cause this music makes him want to fight.

Stuff like this truly fascinates me!

Labyrinth with Bowie

I grew up listening to Bowie. Most deaths don't hit me hard, but his did. As I recall, he had a long-term illness that was terminal, but did not share this information with people outside of his immediate family from what I recall reading.
