Summer Ghost: https://myanimelist.net/anime/48171/Summer_Ghost

Colorful: https://myanimelist.net/anime/8142/Colorful_Movie

***

I have always believed that a few-word or even a few-sentence description of a film or book is extremely unfair to them, because it is impossible to fully convey their value in this way. So I will not describe the content of these films myself.

I will only say that both directly concern suicide (to a much greater extent than A Silent Voice) and both moved me very much.

***

Despite being a huge fan of anime, I have not managed to watch too many of them. I am curious how such a sensitive and valuable subgenre of films deals with the topic of suicide. I would be very disappointed if it almost did not touch on this topic at all or did so in a way that differed from our understanding of it.

First of all: beautiful said.

The ghosts episode of Paranoia Agent is pretty good. There's also Black Paradox, a manga by Junji Ito, but the CTB narrative gets dropped about halfway through. These entries even have their own version of SaSu.

Persona 3 definitely pushed the envelope of how rapidly the characters can CTB over and over. I know the topic is anime but persona is anime styled gaming. The persona series are also just really good games in general.
