Discussion What would you do with nearly $100k that you could spend before you CTB?

Would you set aside some of the money for your family to inherit?

Would you go traveling around the world?

Would you buy a lot of drugs and hookers?

Would you gamble the money away?

Would you buy a small rustic cabin as a last-ditch effort to find happiness and peacefulness in this crazy world?

Would you buy something else?

Or wouldn't you do anything with it, knowing that no amount of money could make up for the void in your life that is driving you to the goddamn bus station?

I would only use the 100K to CTB. I'd get off SSI and finally have control over my own finances!

I would give the money I had left to true pro-choice soldiers on SS.

I'd use some of the money to get a passport and fly to where I can buy N. Pay for a few days stay in hotel, bus/taxi travel, a guide, meals, etc. and give the rest to my two sisters and mother (even though she abused me as a kid/teen, she's given me alot of money over the years, so I'd be paying her back).

I didn't have anywhere near that much, but yeh travel and drugs so far, I'm desperately trying to have enough left to give to my best friend before I go though (so I'm starting to curtail my spending), she has so much potential to lead a happy and productive life like I never have and I want to give her a little boost to help her.

I would certainly do a lot of things on my bucket list, including eating gourmet foods around the world, travel a little bit, maybe spend a bit of some other niceties and vices, rent out a place where I can shoot for fun as well as obtain some license/permit for suppressors, leave some money for people I care about (family and stuff so they will be a little less sad when I ctb), and of course, secure a few methods to check out reliably and as painfree as possible.

Even money can't buy CTB necessities if you don't know where to go or can't access the means. I have no desire to do anything for pleasure so I would simply prepay my funeral and prepare all paperwork and order all forms to make the aftermath as easy as possible.

What are the rules? Is it money to be used for living as well? Or money that must be spent before you ctb, which you will for sure do?

If it's a windfall to be used for anything I move, get proper medical care, and try to live.

If it's money that must be spent before a sure ctb date I do the most good with it I can through donations and don't spend any of it on myself.

If you have anything like a bucketlist... think about attacking the bucketlist as a means of distraction. Who knows, maybe on the way through that list things may change. I'm certain this has happened to some people. If you have any desire at all or final thrill, go and do it. Im not trying to change anyone's mind but any shred of desire to do anything not-negative is worth preserving. Worst case is you do it and still feel the same. Nothing lost.

1.) set aside money for a proper funeral
2.) drugs and hookers until money runs out
3.) ctb

I have not decided if I want a funeral (not that I'll be able to enforce the decision...) but they are generally expensive and if your spouse dies suddenly, you need to fork up the money right then and there 24h later so I am going to prepay for at least the handling of the body and where the body will stay.

I'd go as far as ordering the forms necessary for the executor of my will but can you give a notary some advanced money for this or would this be considered a little to far forward thinking and suspicious? I don't see why you can't, I mean whats the difference between that and a funeral? Notaries make money from dead people, wouldn't they be happy to get the « contract »?

I'd like to say I'd buy myself a plane ticket somewhere beautiful. Planes are a huge fear of mine.
When Im there I'd like to have a week long drug/alchohol bender, try anything and everything I can get my hands on.
At the end of the week, I'd buy whatever materials necessary for my leaving.
I'd send the rest to friends and family along with any letters containing what I wanted to say.
