My 2 options are a helium exit bag and SN. I already have 2 helium tanks, however it is 'balloon helium', which i'm aware is not ideal. I could get my hands on Argon if i wanted to, but even then i'm not sure it would be enough. I have no idea where to get a regulator or how to use one. I know it is not 100% necessary tho, because i've seen pictures of people who did it without any kind of regulator. They just used 'balloon helium', a tube, a plastic bag and duct tape. Maybe i could pull that off as well. My concern with this method is the fact that it could cause brain damage in case of failure, which is obviously the case for a lot of methods. But the quickness of it is very appealing. My second method is SN. I can get my hands on SN and even possibly meto and ofc acid reducers and pain killers are not gonna be a problem to get. What attracts me the most to this one is that it is not that hard to pull off. I can do it easily without having to worry about messing it up. However i'm not a fan of having to wait in order to die and i'm afraid my SI will kick in and i'll call for an ambulance.
I am really confused. Any advice?

I would choose the exit bag, but I wouldn't use balloon helium to do it.

I'd go with SN personally.. Makes more sense in my brain and the whole tube/bag/duct tape thing REALLY freaks me out

Yeah, I've heard they mix oxygen in with the balloon helium to stop people doing this now. I've heard inert gas is a good way to go but personally- I'd want to get the proper diving gear and all that and in the end, I thought a massive canister of gas being delivered might alert the neighbours. I reckon I'm going with SN too.

they deliver the canister in a box so i doubt anyone would know what's inside. however SN does seem like the easier way. are you afraid your SI might make you call for help?

I just really don't know to be honest. I think perhaps I'm deluding myself but I had gallstones years back. The first attack was terrifying- I was in chronic pain and I thought it might be a heart attack. I didn't call for an ambulance then though (because I hoped I would die!) So, I'm kind of hoping I would sit it out. I had 13 more episodes before both me and the NHS got around to sorting it out.

I also have MASSIVE social anxiety- so just the thought of all that fuss might just be enough to put me off. The embarassment alone might power me through!

That all said- I've never attempted before- so I really have no clue what I'd really be like. It is scary.

not sure about SN yet (need to research its proper protocol) but seems fairly peaceful, with some discomfort

inert gas is as good as nembutal, but it needs a very good setup (to me, as my final act - it's worth it)
- extremely peaceful (there is no need to overcome survival instinct, if CO2 is properly displaced)
- extremely fast

failure is caused by being saved - you need to be alone for a few hours
(for at least 30 min after unconsciouness)

another danger:
Helium gas in itself won't hurt your lungs, all it does is take oxygen's place inside your respiratory system. Lack of oxygen can, indeed, damage any tissue (including lungs) in your body.

However, inhaling helium from a high-pressure tank can permanently and seriously damage your lungs. It can rupture lung tissue and cause bleeding. The other danger of inhaling helium from a commercially available pressurized tank is that it can generate helium bubbles that can occlude smaller arteries in your body organs, including your brain. It's a potentially life-threatening condition.

I'd choose SN because it's less likely to go wrong.

I feel you, I have the same dilemma (except I don't have any inert gas yet). I have severe migraines from nitrites and nitrates so I'm pretty sure the pure stuff will be hellish pain. I'm scared to endure that until it works to ctb because my migraines are my main medical trauma. on the other hand it seems really hard to secure the gas and and do the set up right. I wish I had the answer for us but all I can offer is empathizing…

Out of those 2 I would personally go for the SN for certain. The other method just sounds complicated and risky to me, the possibility of brain damage is beyond terrifying. There is a reason why so many people wish to obtain SN and after all, it's a reliable method. I think that those who have SN right now are fortunate. But anyway, best of luck.

(I don't speak English, so I use google translate)

My first method was inert gas, but I gave up eventually. The reason was that I wasn't sure if I had a pure helium tank, and mostly because I'm not a technical person, so I would definitely screw something up. Maybe if it was possible to buy a ready-made set that only attaches to the cylinder, I would go back to this method again, because it seems to be almost perfect, but I haven't come across anything like it. My second method as in your case is SN and I intend to leave this way (I was planning a trip on New Year's Eve but some complications made me cancel my plan)
To sum up:
If I was confident in the purity of the gas I was going to use, and technical enough to prepare the bag, I would use this method.
But I chose SN, which in theory seems to be less pleasant, but comfortable enough to be a good option.
The decision is entirely up to you.
Cheers and I hope you find a solution and leave on your own terms :)
