There's not a lot I regret about my past even if my past hunts me today and I as many others had a lot of painful situations.

I'm pretty obsessed with the idea of time traveling to the past, I'm not sure if I would fix stuff that I did, maybe I can still fix them today? Idk. But I remember when I was like 7 or 8 as the only "normal childhood" phase in my life, everything was so chill and normal, I wasn't bored and everything about life was simple, I want to return to that point of my life again very much. If I had the chance I would also warn myself about the person that abused me when I was a teenager, I'm pretty apathic about my traumas today, but the damage certainly had an effect back than and made me who I am today.

Probably try to prevent the multiple head injuries I sustained when I was growing up. Pretty sure most of them were playground accidents that could have been avoided.

I'm sorry you suffered abuse and trauma! My heart goes out to you. I also have a childhood memory that I dream about, always return to. Being in my Grandparents garden in a village that was small. Beautiful, wonderful time. In times of stress I always take my mind back there, subconsciously and consciously. My Grandfather died when I was 9 years old. I was never the same. I am not the same. I made a lot of mistakes in my life and I could kick myself for letting my hero Grandad down. I'm an idiot. I would travel back in time also.

Me too! I had a major concussion when I was 10 years old. I also smashed my teeth out at school, when I was 5 years old! Very traumatic! I did some research on mental health and concussion, it was very interesting. There could be a correlation in some cases.

I know the pain of losing a close relative as well, my best friend(which I met at the psych ward) was like the family I never had, since he died my life changed from all of the perspectives I've known in myself, it's been a year since than, and I'm still feel like I could do more to save him. You're not an idiot <3

I'm sorry about your friend! RIP to him. I'm sure that he knew you cared about him.
Thank you for your kind words. It's very much appreciated! My Grandfather was a war hero who helped sink the Bismarck. In the Second World War.

I wanted plastic surgery in 2004. Sixteen years later I still don't know if anyone will do it. Procrastination got me nowhere. If I could go back I wouldn't stop until I got my answer. Not sure I really want to find out now. It's too late for it to make a difference.

I think you could always phone some plastic surgeons and ask. It couldn't hurt to try!

Apparently I couldn't. I've had sixteen years. Don't know how that's even possible. I have seen a few and they said no. I probably should have left it at that

I don't know why plastic surgeons would say no. If you've got the means to pay for it it seems strange that they would turn you down.

That's what I thought. I was very naive. Expected it to be sorted no problem without having to do anything. I was wrong.

i honestly wouldn't change anything at all. regardless of if it didn't happen or if i had the chance to stop it from happening, i still believe bad things simply would still continue to happen regardless. some people truly just have absolutely terrible luck or are destined to be suffering and in pain, so even if we went back and wanted to fix things or stopped things from happening, it would still be bound to happen later down the road in life.

just comes to a point, where you have to accept you're luck and the life given to you and only you.

I was a slutty, druggy teen from hell as well. A complete wild child, and same. I also wished I'd worked harder and got my degree. I wouldn't be in the pickle I'm now in. I wouldn't change my raving years though. That was the movement I was part of... in the 90s in England!! But other things I would change. Like getting pregnant at 17.

Would use the knowledge I have now to prevent physical health problems that progressively destroyed my life.

Nothing can be done in the current day to improve my life to make it worth living, I need a full re-spawn or a time machine.

As a teen, i would of stood up for myself more.. i was soo meek and mild as a teenage girl. i always got walked on.. that lead to self esteem issues, which lead to depression and general unease in social situations, as i never liked getting any attention.. i would work on that if i could do it all over again.

Me too. I was pretty much the same. It led to major self esteem issues for me. Now at the age of 42 I defend myself too much and sometimes go on the offence.
I know how you feel. I'm the same.

I don't think anyone is designed to be suffering and in pain. Not you, or me or anyone. It might sound sappy but I believe bad luck happens along the way and there are certain circumstances...eg, socio- political that make some individuals more open for bad luck.

Sure, the mistake I would rectify is:
When I was a freshman in high school I used to babysit. I found some blue pills at one of the homes and I stole them. Later at school I took them all (maybe 10). My mom had to come to school and take me home and I stayed in bed all day. I don't remember being dizzy, sick, woozy or anything (but I don't think I would have been able to get pregnant anytime soon, lol).

What I would have changed was to steal pills that I knew could actually kill me.

Second thing I would change is when I tried cutting my wrists in the Navy in 1980. I did it the wrong direction, across the wrist, several times and then passed out. The doctor at the base hospital told me if I really wanted to do "it" I should cut up my wrist toward my crook of the arm. That's what I would do instead.

Third thing I would change would be going BEFORE I was born and making sure my mom took her fucking birth control!

Aww! My dad said the same thing to me! About cutting my wrists wrong. After I made a crappy attempt to do it( in a stupid fit of pique) something happened and I can't remember what but I took it really badly. I was highly strung as a teen and I was badly bullied. I was showing signs of mental health issues.
Did you ever find out what kind of pills they were?

Oh no, I don't recall ever babysitting for her again. I joke that they were birth control pills but they were in a pill bottle.

We are almost the same age. I'm just a year older and it's quite amazing how trauma / bulling in those formative years of our lives, cause ripple effects way way into our lives 30+ years on. Just those few years in my teens 13-16 is what sent this whole tragic turn of events in motion. just 3 short years, cause a life time of unease.

I can remember all the names of the bullies that tormented me at school, and I sure not a single one of them would remember me.
