I have a 12 gauge shotgun at my disposal.
I have several types of ammunition
bullet ammunition (slug),
buckshot and lead cartridges for small game
Is it more preferable to use ball or buckshot cartridges or less powerful ammunition?

If you are going for the head it shouldn't matter, especially with a 12ga

A 12 gauge is pretty sure fire, no matter the ammo. I'm using a 9mm with a JHP, and that's a high success rate.

It doesn't matter as long as you aim the barrel into your mouth. If you do that, you'll die for certain

I'd skip buckshot just in case. But if you put in your mouth & aim it right it shouldn't matter...

A 12 gauge's extremely powerful, especially if you're going for the head. With that being said, your choice of shell doesn't really matter.

That's a lot better than nothing, but since you already have a firearm, can you procure a shot gun or a medium to high power rifle with relative ease? Those are preferable to a 9m. just to have if needed.
