• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I feel like I'm forgetting something important. So, what I'm talking about is your last few days or weeks sort of thing. Not "bucket list" type stuff where people say they want to travel before they die and things like that.

Things like writing a note (or notes), deleting social media and my digital footprint in general (or trying to... I'd like to erase my existence as much as possible), organizing/cleaning the stuff I have left so that there's less shit for someone else to deal with and things like that.

Or maybe I'll just say "fuck it" and not wrap things up as neatly as I'd like because my mental health got in the way and I just don't care. Which tends to happen when I get close to an attempt. It could go either way.

I just feel like someone might mention something that I haven't thought of but would like to do. So, what are you doing to prepare for death?

This is highly dependant on people's situations, but in my experience following my partner's CTB, it would've been much easier if he had:

- Moved his stuff out of our flat // Allowed enough time to end the contract and other admin (boring I know, but it's been causing a lot of distress for those of us left behind - handling his personal belongings... the thought of taking our bedsheets home terrifies me - they will still smell like him - but throwing them in the dump doesn't feel right either)
- End any subscriptions or direct debits (although it is none of my business now, the thought of those companies continuing to take money from his account disturbs me for some reason... Although I suppose his bank account was frozen following his death)
- Unblock loved ones on any social media you have left behind (he blocked me on Instagram shortly before dying, so now I have no access to a lot of photos and videos of us together)

Of course, in my current situation I am now living at home and don't have anyone blocked, so they don't apply to me personally. I will try to make sure my room is neat and tidy so my mum doesn't have to deal with any mess. It sounds small, but it really is those small things which make the lives of those left behind after suicide that little bit easier.
