That depends. Is anyone else as "real" as us or we are the only truly conscious being for which the simulation is running? In the first case, well, there's people that didn't have the opportunity to experience the simulation, as they died too young, or what happens with those that are unconcious right now because of a comma or something like that? Are we supposed to live everyone's lives one at a time so we can accumulate every possible experience?
Also, what happens after the simulation is over? Do we experience actual reality? And are we even being subjected to the same conditions of the outside world? Same biology, physics, chemisty, psychology? Or this is just one type of simulation in which we will be subjected to?
I usually think that, if we are not just some delusional collective of nervous systems experiencing an emergent property of the universe called consciousness, we are then indeed part of a simulation, but just as a mathematical experiment of some sort.
We like to think that are our suffering will be ever compensated, but the universe has shows us how uncaring it is, so we better take the very limited control we have to find the things that makes us happy and make the most of it, because we only have one shot... allegedly...
Anyways, if there are other realities and ways to live, I don't want to be on this one anymore, it's really shitty. This game is not for me, pass me the next one, please.
