What odd things do strangers tend to assume about you?

I have a small-med lisp and its audible when making the "S" and "F" sounds and for some reason people tend to assume i am a french with an accent because of it
had someone on the phone argue with me if im sure im not french :/, yes i would have known if i were.

another thing which i guess is less odd is that people tend to assume that im much younger than i am,
it doesn't matter if i talk to a 40 yearold or a teen, i get the same reaction "oh i thought you were much younger"
everyone is surprised when i say my real age, also I always get ID'd :_)

thing is im just a normal guy im not short either.
maybe because i cant grow a beard (thanks for my Slavic genes) or my style, mannerisms or voice.
i think its a curse and blessing

Lol- Are you sure you're not French? It is funny when people seem to think we might have forgotten some major detail of our lives.

I tended to get the age one quite a bit. Same as you- I looked younger than I was. Plus, probably acted less mature than I was. I'm pretty sure one guy said outright he didn't believe me. I thought- whether you believe me on not- I'm still that age!

The other one which can feel a bit jarring is when I'm (rarely) in touch with family, who assume that I'm successful and happy. It's weird reading Christmas/ birthday cards with well wishes for the future and this idea that I'm getting along fine when I'm thinking about suicide so much.

I think people probably wonder if I'm gay too because I've always been more of a tom boy. So, I probably fit the butch lesbian stereotype.
