If you're in doubt or want to try a close to death experience, are there any methods that allow you to regret it before it's too late?

People try to cbt and fail, some people have practised just to know they can do it and have accidentally passed. I would not even consider a full blown attempt if you are having these thoughts regardless if its one you could come back from.

In my opinion, none. End of life matter are not really a game or something to be taken lightly and if someone wants to flirt with death, they should be fully aware that there's always a risk of unplanned complications that would lead to serious consequences. Before contemplating the idea of ctb, one should examine his own thoughts and conviction and fully commit when they feel ready. I can not recommend any such method.

No method. If your goal is not death, it is not advisable to "try" to kill yourself.

I mean something more like, if you want to do it but want to leave the possibility of stopping it if you regret about it

Carbon monoxide (charcoal), partial suspension.

I would avoid ingesting drugs or poisons as will need medical intervention if you change your mind.

Obviously jumping, gunshot or long drop aren't going to work either as the commitment is huge.

I honestly believe that this is not an enterprise you should even be considering. What options do you have with your life at the moment? Are you in therapy or under medical supervision?

If you're not sure you want to die don't use any method.

I must absolutely advise against CO poisoning, as carboxyhemoglobin can build up very quickly and has a half life of around 4 to 6 hours in the blood. This can and probably will leave you with a lot of damage should you change your mind, and the probability increases with every second especially at high ppm. Please don't do this. Better yet, try anything but CTB if you've not made up your mind yet.

Agreeing with others sentiment here - I wouldn't pick any method at that point.

(Because if I know even just one thing it's that even in situations where people say they "can" back out there's a slew of terrible shit that could happen should they have a change of heart and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.)

Partial Suspension?
Most people here who tried it regretted it a and were able to stop before passing out.

Maybe start a new thread in the Recovery section and ask people whats the best way to be successful with it. I have no doubt that there will be a number of replies that says it doesn't work, maybe there are a few that can help. I would delay doing anything dangerous until you have given it a shot
