If your brain was deprived of most of the sufficient oxygen already and had little brain cells left with dementia or Alzheimer' what method would you choose?
In late stage Alzheimer's it would be difficult to execute any method, I feel. It would need to be assisted. I knew of someone who kept trying to eat foxgloves in the garden. She'd been an avid gardener and had obviously retained the memory that they can be toxic.

As the other member already responded, there would be very few methods someone in late stages of the disease would be able to successfully complete. The methods normally most likely to succeed involve a degree of planning and organisation, which would be beyond someone in the advanced stages of the disease.
A more common euthanasia scenario is one where people with an initial diagnosis anticipate and plan to end their lives as soon as certain symptoms arise. This is described well in this thread.

That's so sad she knew now she wanted to commit suicide but couldn't. I don't want to let myself get to that stage where my brain is damaged or i'm disabled so that i can't commit suicide. Time is short for me. I need to do it while i still have my full mental capacities. But i aLso need to make sure i die and don't remain alive in a mentally reduced capicity after a faiLed suicide attempt. That's why I need to ctb in a remote location away from humans that might interfere or revive me while I'm still alive.
