what method(s) lead to your closest to success attempt?

i know, it's a very painful topic, but i'd be grateful to learn from your failed attempt(s) and the reasons for/ circumstances of their failing, if you wanna share!

I had many failed attempts, many of them overdoses. One time however I overdosed on a diruetic and I was in hospital on an IV for 4 days. Couldn't walk for around 2 days. I had many other times that I went in hospital but that was probably the closest of all.

Out of the couple I had I think the "closest" is a tie. Literally closest was the second overdose, I was so close to not waking up that night. Metaphorically closest was when I went to shoot myself, the first attempt I ever made. The hammer spring on my pistol slipped when I pulled the trigger and it failed to go off

I tried chloroform. I didn't have a constant drip on the rag so I woke up. Puked everywhere and had vertigo for three days afterwards. Now the smell alone makes me nauseated so I can't use it again.

Have tried partial a few times but keep doing a hypnagogic jerk (the same as when you jolt while falling asleep) and coming back to myself. This is still my preferred method I just need to figure out how to make myself drowsy or something first.

I was going to get extremely crossfaded to try to get hypothermia and then also take a ton of Prozac the problem is is that I took a ton of edibles first and was way too high to follow through with anything else I felt like I was on another planet lol. Plus, getting high sometimes affects my taste buds so food and drinks I normally like will sometimes taste awful when I'm high, so the alcohol that I normally like tasted so bad to me since I was really high and I poured it out and passed out basically. Tbh im really frustrated cause it's so difficult for me to self harm or commit suicide I wish there was a more comfortable way to die lol. I know there's assisted suicide pills but that's not available to me.

tried to od. Didn't work and I ended up giving myself schizophrenia and body tremors for an entire day. Luckily it wasn't permanent
