Discussion What method (out of the ones that work) would you never consider and why?

I could never ever bring myself to jump. It seems absolutely terrifying and I really admire people who have the guts to go for this. The feeling of falling, and knowing that you are about to hit the bottom... But I know it is many people's preffered method

I don't recommend suicide by cop. I see it mentioned far too often on here. It simply isn't an effective method since cops aren't taught to shoot to kill, and this attempt will only get you labeled as a crazy and it will get you locked up.

Drowning. I have a fear of getting no air.

Probably slitting my throat or wrist I would prefer shotgun to the back of skull have someone shoot me multiple times out of good measure another method I might not like but have thought about is drowning in the lake, jumping off from a really high distance is kind of a mix do and don't like same thing.

Suicide by cop is doomed to failure and l can't take any suggestion of it as a method remotely seriously.

For me I'm not enthused at all by SN, despite all the arguments in favour of its success it gives too wide a margin of panic in which you can back out, and I've no hard evidence of it being peaceful; it may well be a sound method but without a greater knowledge of what to expect l run the risk of ringing an ambulance after ten minutes of stomach agony.

Train-don't want to cause ptsd or anything for the driver, don't want to get it wrong and live with horrible injuries
Jumping-wouldn't have the guts
Drowning-would be agonising and I don't want there to be a huge search for my body
OD/cutting artery-too unreliable

It is if you manage to get it right, which is hard to do for a lot of people (including me)

Even jumping bc ppl will have to see my body

I'm going for a Morphine OD.

- I thought I could do partial/night night but I've always had this weird squeamishness about my lymph nodes and the feeling of compression there freaks me out so no

- Any sort of exsanguination. I've nearly bled out before and knowing *how much* blood you can really lose and still live... Nah, not worth the risk

- Drowning/suffocation, unless inebriated

That's about it besides other obvious unreliable methods like OTC overdose. I'd jump if there was a feasible height near me, OD on heroin or 1,4b if I could afford the alcohol & antiemetic to make it more reliable, my only option is dehydration/starvation at this point, I think I could do it, not easily but I could

Most methods seem pretty unappealing to me as their's always a risk of pain and failure. But living another whatever many years is even more unappealing. I wish death was as simple as it's portrayed in the movies like when a character instantly dies after drinking a tiny bit of poison lol.

I want not try the suffocating by a plastic bag again. I had one attempt by this way. It was my the most painful attempt. Die by this way willingly is not possible.

Most methods! Tried a couple ways and they don't work. Cutting yourself is the worst of all! Would like to gas or hang myself

Anything with inherent physical violence attached to the act - guns, cutting, hanging. I want my death to be peaceful, with some semblance of grace and tranquility. I'm not knocking those methods, or the people who use them, but they aren't for me.
