Method what method do I choose?

I don't have any plans yet, but I did look though some of the suggested methods. At first I was most interested in the SN method because it's cheap and supposedly peaceful, but after reading this thread and seeing some videos I got anxious and changed my mind. I don't want it to be messy or very painful, I know how expensive it might be so I don't rlly care about the price. So far I thought about ODing on opiods, but I've never done any drugs so getting hands on any would be propably hard.

For SN, do not let one thread scare you out of a method. SN attempts do vary but it is well documented method and most of the attempts end with little to no discomfort if the protocol is followed.

I mean, SN is popular for a reason, not because it's perfect and will always work, you saw even it sometimes fails, but because suicide as a whole IS messy. There is little way around that. There is no one guaranteed best method of suicide, they all have their risks, downsides and stress factors. Contrary to what some claim, it is not an easy way out. Killing yourself tends to not be very pleasant to the brain. SN just happens to be one of the more "pleasant" ones, in comparison.
You can browse through the list the user above provided and make up your mind if you want. The info is there.

Also, since you don't have chat unlocked yet, I think you made a post recently in which you expressed how you were still conflicted about wanting to die or to get some help you need, but were scared or unsure on how to do that and how to communicate it (understandably). Did you end up reaching out or talking to friends or anyone? Or are you still planning to do so? If you don't mind me asking :)

I'm still planning on visiting a psychiatrist, I don't have the guts to tell my friends about any of it :(

I'm not planning on doing anything yet, but I still want to have a plan in case I decide that I want to kill myself. I tend to be impulsive and I wouldn't want to choose an agonizing or risky method last minute.

I'm still planning on visiting a psychiatrist, I don't have the guts to tell my friends about any of it :(

I'm not planning on doing anything yet, but I still want to have a plan in case I decide that I want to kill myself. I tend to be impulsive and I wouldn't want to choose an agonizing or risky method last minute.

Yeah I know. I'd rather see a psychologist but it would take me months before I would get to see one.

I want to repat that because it bears repeating - don't tell anyone in that sphere of mental health anything about being suicidal. You'll get locked away, and even if you're genuinely looking for help, that will not help you and will most likely just be a traumatizing experience. These people don't do that because they want to genuinely help you or think it's the professionally right thing to do, but to cover their own asses legally.

I personally have picked inert gas for me. I think SN is messy. This is not advice, just sharing my own thoughts on the matter.

after giving it some thought, here are my preferred methods, in order:

1. SN poisoning + xanax - very accesible and cheap in my country. it's supposed to be not as bad with benzos.

2. shallow water blackout - free and painless. i might pass this one as an accident and hopefully save my loved ones some of the suffering. it's unfortunately not as comfortable as the SN method and if anyone notices me i'm done. i also wouldn't want to bother anyone w finding my body.

3. opiod overdose - not rlly reccomended on SaSu because of how risky it is, but it still is one of the least painful methods out there. I might change my mind abt it, SN poisoning is the more reliable option.

just ordered SN!! recently i've found a xanax vendor, so i might start making plans soon.
