Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

very embarrassing to admit but a homestuck fanfic from the past made me feel very bittersweet. usually romance kind of hits the spot. the fact that canonically a preferred outcome never happens, or maybe the preferred outcome lasted only fleetingly, as in steins;gate, are but two forms which most commonly contribute to this feeling

it's kind of the sad realization that the characters really cease to exist outside of that particular form of media, that their consummation in the end is just a hollowed out form of speculation, grasping still at the pleasure of the accompanying experience and the bitter melancholy which follows in the end. maybe that depends on the degree to which you rely on the form of media as escapism
