In your view, what are those things which if adopted, would improve things at a societal level?

For me one of would be if bullying was punishable. Think about it, bullying actually destroys lives and has an awful impact on the victim, mostly mentally. You can get trauma from bullying. The victim then has to live with these consequences for the rest of their life. Bullying is mental torture. The fact that it's overlooked and ignored is simply outrageous. Many school shootings happen because of bullying.
It could be like this: bullies receive a huge ass fine which would be paid by their parents (assuming the bully doesn't have legal age yet) and if it persists, the bully shall be sent to a detention center (again, assuming the bully doesn't have the legal age yet).

I'm sorry if this is trash question, but I was thinking a lot about this.

A few things. I think all crimes that only harm oneself should be made legal, there should be some kind of requirements for having children, and promoting/teaching critical thinking skills should be one of the top priorities of the government.

if I'm to summarize a few previous threads on suicide hotlines and a lot other posts it'd be this:

- we the suicidal demand housing, healthcare, universal income, a resource based economy, anti-ablesim/racism/sexism etc., trauma awareness, social safety nets, and access to euthanasia.

- we ask for harm reduction regarding methods. the choice remains ours.

- we the suicidal are survivors of psychiatry. for this we shall abolish policing from our MH system and beyond.

- we deserve a community that connects and supports us, freedom of speech and right to die just as much as our right to life. taking it down is only going to result in a loss to us all, and likely the departure of many. silencing us is not the way out.

- motherfuckers in journalism and the goverment hear us out and go do some real shit.

Everyone should have free uninhibited access to hyper-advanced robots that can be used for any purpose so long as it helps the person they're assigned to feel better. They would be able to take on any shape or size at will in order to reach optimal accommodation. Sure for many people these would just be glorified artificial personal sex therapists but that alone would probably be able to help a lot of troubled people by helping them cope or at least give them one less excuse for not being better. They could also be used as maids/butlers to help remove one possible stressor in many people's lives or can even be sent to do jobs for you. Because they're robots, hopefully society wouldn't care about their rights since they're just tools. This could also serve as a useful outlet for many would-be abusers or other terrible people making them less likely to practice on a real victim. I know it's not a perfect solution but it's the best I can come up with.

That or do like Thanos and eliminate half of all sentient life in order to give the people remaining way more resources to help them. Maybe it wouldn't have to be random either, just instantaneously, painlessly eliminate everyone who's sure they want to or need to die.

I live in a country where irl and cyber bullying is punishable but bullying still exist and nothing has really changed due to the person being bully not reporting anything, when they get the courage to talk to someone the person don't report and once it is it will depends on how severe it is but no matter what the bullying won't stop and for some cases had results in things being worse and even physical.

In order to stop bullying, bullies themselves needs to work on themselves, get past their shitty childhood and inferiority problem and the victims needs to start defending they own selves verbally and physically cause nobody else will, if you can't stand up for yourself then don't expect things to miraculously stop, which will later on keep on being like this in your adulthood but take a different form aka people pleaser.

(Sorry not sorry if it sounds insensitive but that's how I solved my wannabe bullied problems so to me I don't see any other way than standing up for myself no matter what and I'm the type of brutally honest person so I don't keep shit to myself and express myself)

A lot of things that I did believe would change society already exist in my country but society is still the same.

So to me what would really change is if people stop on being so soft and start thinking about they own well-being by helping themselves instead of helping others, like sure you can help people on the streets that are being victim of something (like you're not going to just pass by if a womxn is being harassed in public, a kid being made fun of, a homeless guy being beaten on etc cause if you do you're just a piece of shit and shouldnt expect nobody to help/save you) but otherwise just help your own self before helping others, get your life back on track, stop being so soft aka being triggered about everything a pure stranger say whether online and in real life, and just work on making your life better and THEN society will change.

If all of us just care about us and don't give a fuck about anyone else, whether physically, mentally or materialistic then yep change will be find because we will just be living our *own* life, getting what we want whether it is a body type, a career or else, nobody would be bitching about others nor let anyone that's not good for them into their lives.

Maybe if psych services were required for all kids, it would help with their development and improve resilience. Parents do have a responsibility to teach their kids these things but they don't always know how to tackle the problem, I think if everyone was required to see a professional at a young age, that would help them the most

I agree and do think that no matter what everyone on earth should be obligated to see a professional throughout childhood and so does everyone that wants a child should have some sessions too but then yes parents are responsible but once it comes to the kid doing the action themselves I don't blame the parents and put the full blame on the kid since everyone in they right mind do know that what they do is wrong even if they are keeping on doing it but yes everyone in general should have a professional mental support

The issue with society, especially in the age of global communication is that people who hate each other's guts and vote to undermine each other's rights constantly are forced to live under one flag because they were born on a specific piece of land.
There wouldn't be so many issues with society if the only people participating in it were people who wanted to participate.

It would hurt government influence and profit worldwide though, so they'll never allow that to happen.

I believe we all deserve a right to die. Nobody should have to resort to painful or traumatic methods to end their suffering. Suicide should not be so stigmatised. I believe that life is just pain and suffering, life itself is the problem. We are forced into this world and we have to endure the horrors of this life. Being expected to suffer for decades against our wishes is cruel. Allowing us a peaceful exit would mean a much more compassionate society, but I believe they will not allow this as the society needs workers.
