Not even died in your arms tonight??
A long time ago I liked to read books. Nowadays I can't concentrate anymore on books or something comparable...
I really really miss reading!!! What did you read? My favourite author was haruki murakami.
What makes me feel better?
My boyfriend, go out in the forest (when I can motivate me to go out of the door...), I love jogging - but since a few weeks my leg and back hurts every day and I can't do any sports (yes I'm in therapy but nothing really helps -.-*), mmhh.. I like music and yes I think it helps me in my darkest hours...

Competition. Brings me back to the football days in high school. I felt great alor of the time then.
Awesome poem in your tagline area. (whatever that is called : )Thank you to all who posted in this thread ...... I feel almost human when I post something and people respond ...... When I go out into the "real world" I am invisible ...... Unless I make someone angry ...... I must admit that there have been a few occasions when I intentionally made someone angry just so I did not have to be alone ...... It sounds crazy ...... However ...... I live in a large American city ...... There is a big imaginary wall between me and the rest of the city ...... I have not been able to connect with anyone outside of school.
What did you read?
Definitely Harry Potter for me, too! There was a time (years) when I watched the movies all the time. I still like to listen to the soundtrack : )I loved fantasybooks. I really loved "Wolfgang Hohlbein". I also read something like Lord of the rings or Harry Potter. I can remember when I was an teenager I was totally nervous and exited to wait for the new HP book. ^-^ I read it in english because of the early release date ;) - I was impatient to wait for the german translation O_o ..
I still like to listen to the soundtrack : )
There're so much things....*to remember early days* it's a pity..I wish it could lift me up now as well as it used to.
Only that one lolNot even died in your arms tonight??
Wtf is your problem? I'm not trollingPlease stop being a troll

For me, music: classical and choral. I could be forgiven for thinking life can be beautiful when I listen to it.

Classical music is great, I just don't get to listen all that often. I should try to listen more, I do really like it. Got any recommendations that I might not have heard (or even that I might have heard)?Agreed ! We got a classical music thread here going, check it out !! It's only few of us...
Its music for me too. I actually love dancing and singing like an idoiot on my own but as soon as I stop I end up more sad than before. And during it I get consistent twinges of "this is pointless, why am I enjoying something, if somebody saw me doing this I would hate myself" so it doesn't really last. What makes you feel human again? ...... I don't mean drugs or alcohol ...... What do you physically do to feel better ...... For me it is ...... music ...... Music ...... MUSIC ...... Songs like Jimi Hendrix "All Along the Watchtower" ...... KISS "Rock and Roll All Nite" ...... David Bowie "Rebel Rebel" ...... Melissa Etheridge "Come To My Window" ...... Def Leppard "Rock of Ages" ...... The Spinners "I'll Be Around" and "Rubberband Man" ...... Stevie Wonder "Master Blaster" ...... Johnny Cash "Folsom Prison Blues" ...... Neil Diamond "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show" ...... Ozzy Osbourne "Mr. Crowley" ...... and last but not least ...... Van Halen "Runnin' With the Devil".
Can't say I agree. It may affect people in deeply personal ways that will never go away, that's how it feels for me. Most days I don't feel strong emotion at all but I can use music to get them out. If I want to cry music is the one way I can usually guarantee it. Nothing makes me happy or sad or contemplative like music does but it doesn't feel like it has any bearing on my life, reality or thoughts.Music has no effect on me anymore. If music still affects you then maybe ctb is still a long way off for you

I love the Boston WCRB classical station app... the best. When I listen to it, I can forget that life is painful.Classical music is great, I just don't get to listen all that often. Make time for it, is always worth it, and the variety is incredible, from Gregorian chant to contemporary,
from vocal to instrumental Where to start? .
Just some criss cross examples, a ride across the centuries. Hope you enjoy.

Oh, what a wonderful post. Where is the classical music thread?
History, historical dress, historical sites (I'm reminded by the top video) I also really enjoy - they've brought me a great deal of pleasure in my life. I've enjoyed visiting historical sites (eg National Trust sites) especially in the U.K.
But, another thing that doesn't do for me what it used to. Now I just think, oh dearest, you can't save me. You're so lovely, I wish you could. I will miss you.
Thank you!Loved the National Trust sites, used to be proud member ! And yes, damn it, my life is centered around classical music, and it won't save me in the end, a real bugger. I will miss that even when I am dead...lol...
The classical music thread is here: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/classical-classicalish-music.4532/#post-78653 Enjoy !!
Thank you!
That's super. I want to take all the beautiful elements of life and gather them around me, and stop things from changing and declining... there has been so much good. (I don't believe in an afterlife, but if there was one, I would want it to be like this.) I will feel sorrowful about leaving behind classical and choral music till my last breath; and also the beautiful places I have been, especially in Britain.
