I've been listening to more music lately and fallen in love with most types of heartbreak songs as well as slow rock/ regular rock as well as bands like the Neighbourhood, AURORA, Gorillaz, Kodaline, Shawn Mendes, Daughter, Ed Sheeran, The Fray and Linkin Park. What kind of songs/music do you listen to when you are sad/in general?

I'm shocked at how much I like this. I was expecting Eminem, I guess, not something so ambient.

I'm so glad you like it! Lil Peep was such a great artist, I listen to him all the time. He commonly talks about his problems with drugs, love and mental health.

I recommend you listen to his debut album, Come Over When You're Sober Pt1. I also recommend you listen to his 2016 mixtape Hellboy, especially the songs 'nose ring' and 'OMFG'.

not just when i'm sad, but iron & wine is a go-to for me. the music is very melancholy, yet somehow soothing. the lyrics are really thought provoking which i find actually helps me escape my sadness. i posted one of his songs over in the music mega thread if you're curious.

That's how it is for me. I actually have a really weird complex where listening to music fucks me up. Cuz I used to enjoy it so much when I was a different, happy person. I can't enjoy anything anymore. The contrast drives me crazy.

I usually listen to foreign music, it sounds dumb but recently when I've listened to songs in English I've managed to associate them with stuff I don't want to remember and made myself feel worse. I'm pretty fond of Alexander Rybak, Stromae and a few kpop groups, and I really like a song called Barfuß am Klavier too
