Discussion What is your favorite album and why?

I'm a huge music nerd. It's probably my biggest interest, and it has been the only thing to bring me comfort at times. I imagine I'm not the only one who feels like this here, so I wanted to ask.
My favorite for the past five years or so has been Xiu Xiu's "A Promise". What is yours?

Music has definitely been the most important thing in my life during my worst depressive episodes.
It's impossible for me to pick just one but some of my favorite ones are:

Metallica - Master of puppets
Megadeth - Rust in peace
Burzum - Filosofem
Slayer - Show no mercy
$uicideboy$ - I want to die in New Orleans

Filosofem was my absolute favorite when I was a teenager. Still love that one.

I like the album In Rainbows by Radiohead most. My second favorite is The New Abnormal by The Strokes. I got other but these are my favorite.

As an album, The Turn of a Friendly Card by Alan Parsons Project is still the absolute favorite of mine. By that I mean: every single track is great, transitions are immaculate (last 5 tracks), and listening beginning to end is just pure bliss. I think I like individual tracks or parts of other albums more, but judging as a whole, this is the one.
