What is your 1st day of the New Year like?

I just do what I always do, surf the web, take my medicine, oh and bought a new IPad. I keep on doing the things humans do just to fill the time. I still hope I will be gone this year. Anyway, Happy New Year to you all!

I'm taking down my Christmas decorations and feeling kinda melancholy. I dread the holidays in the fall because I'm expected to go visit my family, but feel a bit of sadness when it's all over, and I have no distraction from shitty everyday life.

There is nothing 'happy' about any of this and suggesting such a thing is absurd and invalidates all of the suffering that exists in this world. It's dreadful to still be here for yet another year, but of course it's perfectly fine for those who are fortunate enough to have N.

But my day is pretty much just the same as yesterday and the day before that. It's just another day of feeling trapped in this existence that I've never wished to endure. People do seem to make a big deal out of new year and use it as an excuse to push their toxic positivity onto others, but basically any day which others see as significant is just another day for me.

I am hungover. On NYE, I did GHB and got sick from it. I was in the bath at midnight, then wrote for a few hours. Passed out on the couch (which is a loveseat, not usually a place to sleep for me) around 4am. Gf brought me to bed around 7. I slept on and off til noon.

so far I ate half a bowl of yakisoba noodles & built something in Minecraft. I need to eat more. I need to vacuum (I knocked over the incense burner last night trying to find clothes in the dark.) I'm still dehydrated. I've been sitting on the couch for a few hours now. I'm supposed to unload the dishwasher too. It's too late in the day for me to have caffeine now... I should have an edible to help me eat.

oh and bought a new IPad.

I want an iPad so bad, with the pencil and everything... but I don't plan to work again so I don't think I'll get it.

Spent nye asleep on the couch. Woke up for 2 true crime episodes on Netflix before returning to bed until 4pm today, where I return to the couch until it's time to go back to bed. Rinse and repeat.

Same as any other day. (Which isn't saying alot). Didn't talk to a soul today. Scrolled the internet on my phone while watching a ton of true crime shows I had on the dvr. Oh- I let my dog out a few times.

It's been a really difficult day, I can't really remember struggling this badly any other day last year.

I blocked the toilet, sigh. Might have to call out a plumber. Or worse yet, an emergency plumber. Can't afford this crap. Nothing worked, not hot water, not washing up liquid, not a plunger. Plus I slept for 23 hours, wasted a whole day, felt too depressed to get out of bed

Sorry for your plumbing mess. They're so damn expensive. I'm currently going thru furnace crap. Neither you or I are getting out of this cheap. I wish you luck!
