I want to know what do you think is worse feeling of these:

1- Never having something you ever wanted
2-Having something and losing it forever

Ill say 1 is worse.
Ive been through 2, and even if i lost him, and am hurting, im still happy that he was mine.
Otherwise id never meet him or knew he existed, and i know i made him happier as he would have died alone and in pain otherwise.

I'd rather #1 - Never having it!!!

Loss and grief are just to hard - impossible - to bear. [Insert broken heart emoji here]

everyone who says never having it, is weird to me, I am a person who has battled the pain of trying to reach for it as hard yet I never can get it.
yet people who have it and lose it end up having it again...

for those who never had, it is an emptiness that is truly hard to describe.

This is a very difficult question for sure, but for me, I think the first would be worse, though not by much. Both are terrible.

I'd say #2 for me. I had a decent life, marriage, kids and that's all gone now. I'm just a shell of my former self with zero ambition left.

Having something and loosing it forever is worse, imo. Life in general for me: HAVING existed on this planet in the first place is difficult and involves suffering to varying degrees. Then LOOSING this life it is a painful process. But my hope is that I cease to exist, for FOREVER, because if earth is this bad, so could the afterlife be bad? Idk? but I just hope not to exist. I think that's the safest and most peaceful option as far as hope goes.

Both cause suffering. We search tirelessly, and when we finally find... We lose forever.
And I think we have created daydreams to continue this cycle, which seems to be never ending.

Definitely have something and lose it forever... They're ultimately both painful, but if I already knew how it felt and then it went away, I think it would hurt me more...

How can you miss something you never had?
But knowing what you have had, and then losing it, damn that shit hurts

2. Having something and lose it forever.

I experienced this. I finally found a father figure who was my carer, we did everything together and he saw me like his son. First time I have ever felt loved but then he killed himself and I haven't felt loved since. I miss having someone in person who cares. I mean the people here are great and I couldn't ask for better friends but having a father figure was just something that I had wanted for a long time then POOF! GONE!.

#2 for sure, if you never had it you don't have all of the good memories reminding you that you'll never get that back.

Probably a grass is greener situation and whichever one of the two we have experienced is the one we think feels worse.

Not missing. Just feeling sad for something you can't have or won't have.
