  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Overdosing on OTC meds or anti psychotics isnt going to work. We should remember that poisoning is different from OD. Overdosing has the least possibility of success which is less than 10%. Trust me. During my earlier days I used to be really involved in various kinds of od and I met a lot of people who od'd and got hospitalized. Even I od'd and I had a bad experience with it.

I think the threads asking about overdosing are a bit overrated and we should try to minimize them
Thanks for reading this post.

For those who are not familiar with the actual statistics regarding ODing, it's not surprising that there would be a great deal of misconception about its effectiveness. I think this is a result of it's portrayal in fiction of being so hyper effective as well as real world cases like Heroin and Fent which are far more reliable to off you than say benzos, but people often don't make the distinction. I'm not sure there is much that could/should be done on the forum level that isn't done already. When someone posts intending to OD on Tylenol or benzos or something else equally ineffective there are usually plenty of informed replies warning them of its likely ineffectiveness and very possible life altering negative effects.

The goal of this forum is to help people make informed choices and if someone comes here with the faulty idea that their bottle of Tylenol or Xanax is a ticket out of here, I think the best outcome is they be informed of how unlikely their expected outcome will be and its probable long term dangers to make a bad situation worse.

It becomes a little tiresome to reply to such threads with the relevant warnings. Perhaps a sticky warning would be helpful. Similar to the "do not post sources" sticky.

There's a forum suggestions thread if anyone agrees enough and wants to suggest this there.
