In this video about Belgium eutanasia, they used a very sweet brownish yellow syrupy substance that appeared to be easy to drink and the person was not offered chocolate or anything afterwards. What is the substance that is used in Belgium?

Not all steps are necessarily shown in the video. They can add syrup if it's taken orally, so that's likely what you saw. Essentially it's probably something like sedatives, barbiturates and muscle relaxants.

Not everything is shown. She probably drank an antiemetic first and then the syrup. I found this PDF (it's in Dutch) about what could be used. I can PM the link if you want. It states there is no such thing as a default 'euthanasia kit'.

I just want to say I found the reporter very biased. Also, what Tom (son of...) said isn't true. He said: 'I can go to a physician and say you have to kill me'. While euthanasia is our right no doctor can be forced to act on it. And like the documentary said: there's THREE doctors making this decision. The reporter should have made that clear, but he chose not to comment on this false opinion. It doesn't surprise me that comments on YT are set to off.

Wow, been a while since I read the word barbiturates.

Could be, but it is in fact what they use. This is from the PDF I mentioned:

100 ml van een drank met een hoge dosis barbituraat, pentobarbital of secobarbital
