Dead.
No conscious, thoughts or feelings, nothing. Hence the term brain dead.

When I died it was just nothing I didnt feel the pain either until I woke up again. Ofcourse it might be very painful depending on how you die. I am also conflicted because ive had a couple out of body experiences and ive seen ghosts.

No one knows. It's not like sleeping. When you sleep you are still alive that's for sure. The Tibetan book of the dead has good thoughts on it but ultimately you only know once you cross the line with no option of coming back

Afterlife can be anything, we don't know for sure, there's an infinite possibility.
As for the process of dying, it was peaceful for me, I was anxious the whole day before my attempt, barely keeping it together. But when the time came to drink the poison, I was calm and even a little happy knowing that after this if I succeed everything will be over. Then I was faced with immense disappointment and dispair when I woke up.

An end with suffering > Suffering without an end

Your brain is the main effort in all you experience. The highs, lows, sights, sounds, scents, feelings, everything. Once it's dead, it's dead. Even if the afterlife is real (for entertainment purposes) whatever they say leaves your body and floats away into it, does not contain your functioning brain, with its oxygen, and it's blood supply, and all it's individual working parts. Therefore, you will experience nothing.

Death is simply nothingness which is all I wish for, death is finally freedom from this evil, hellish world where there is endless potential for cruelty, torment and suffering. To me it's beautiful to think of being permanently unconscious, all I wish for is a permanent release from the torturous and futile burden of existing as a human. I despise existence and all the harm it causes, no matter what I'd see it as better that this existence permanently disappears into nothingness.

Death is like before you were born non-existence , but forever this time.

after Death is non-existence forever never a chance of pain, problems, suffering ,humiliations nothing bad ever happening

i agree with Josha bach .

Joscha Bach says we don't even exist continously while alive. I can see that when sleeping and no dreams we disapear but he says all the time too:

Death is just permanent non existence which sounds peaceful and beautiful. All my life I got irritated at how incompatible I was with life and I thought that I would forever be doomed to suffer like this but the moment I truly learnt what permanent non existence is without society's brainwashing, I just see it as absolutely beautiful and perfect. Perfection should be impossible yet it isn't because it's right in front of me.. it's only a finite amount of time away from me. After I live through my horrible, horrendous life suffering through every second of it, I will reach perfection

I agree with that. but the problem is one can suffer excruciating constant unending unbearable pain while still alive , and or decades of suffering before you reach non-existence forever. The problem imo is I'm still alive and can suffer pain. after Death is non-existence forever never a chance of pain suffering ,humiliations nothing bad ever happening.

but they continously tell us that this life this ability to suffer unbearable constant pain is a beautiful gift. i never fell for that

I agree. Whilst I'm glad that we are living for a finite amount of time, I do hate at how there's so much potential for suffering whilst being alive though, for me, that makes death way better as death would bring upon the cessation of having any chance to suffer extreme, excruciating pain. Whilst living up to 80 years or even 100 years is negligible compared to the infinite amount of years of permanent non existence afterwards, the suffering experienced within the years that we experience is still nonetheless valid and painful. I hate that I'm alive too and I hope that I die as early as possible though I still am glad that we live for a shorter amount of time instead of a longer amount of time or even eternity

I hope that humans never discover a way to further increase the average lifespan of humans

If you've ever gone under general anesthesia for some kind of medical operation then it's exactly like that. A state of pure unconsciousness. I don't like to compare it to sleep because you can dream while you sleep, but you don't dream while anesthetized. Also, even while you sleep your brain is still alert, and will wake you up if you hear, smell, or feel something unusual or uncomfortable. While anesthetized surgeons can literally cut you apart and you won't feel it. Someone could scream into your ear and you wouldn't hear it. Nothing can disturb your state of unconsciousness.

boggles my mind that humans want to extend life and to even live forever in an afterlife or reincarnation. by the law of probability the longer you live the higher chance of extreme suffering. And there is no objective reason to risk extreme suffering. but when I point out that non-existence forever is the only way to never suffer extremely many don't buy it and instead wish for for reincarnation or afterlives. i'm glad that afterlives and reincarnation are not possible . for one thing why hasn't any scientist ever been able to detect the soul, afterlife, or god etc or communicate with the soul , record or provide some evidence for the soul or even the power source for the soul? hmmm

No one knows. You might be brain dead but still no one can identify where consciousness resides. Apparently, according to recent research, your brain stays active for seven minutes and replays your favourite memories from life. How they could know that I dont know

Studies have shown otherwise, that consciousness can survive death. Look at the cia document called the gateway process, it's mind-blowing.

What is death like? What is it like to die? Is it like going to sleep forever? What is it like?
The train of thought goes like,
"I'm going to die I'm going to die (it hurts) I'm going to die (very slowly) I'm going to die I'm going to die (it hurts) I'm going to die (very slowly) I'm going to die I'm going to die (I can feel the waste heat) I'm going to die I'm going to die..."

And then the surreal final snap,

"Ah, I'm dead."

A string of vain thoughts till the end.

I'll never believe that there is any soul.
After death is non-existence forever.

What's the power for the soul?

Where is the text book that describes the details of a soul?
Why are god and ghosts hiding from every one and from science? How come scientists have never been able to detect a single piece of evidence for a soul , afterlife, god , magic anything

You're asking questions i can't answer. All im saying is that the gateway process document went into great detail regarding the location of consciousness and how it's not located in the brain. It further explained the process of people who have the ability to astral project. All I'm saying is there's documented cases of consciousness being able to exist out of the body.

There are plenty of books and research out there which describe what you're questioning. Quantum physicists believe that this world is a virtual construct, constructed in binary code. If that's the case then there must be someone projecting this existence.

See no one can answer these questions so there is no soul, no god no afterlife.

Any one can give theories . Those theories and tales are all unproved and not backed up with evidence. There is no reproducible scientific evidence.

All the tech and science but They can't detect a soul or god or afterlife or simulation etc . They haven't been able to detect any thing for hundreds of years trying

I don't care about any of that I know it's all fiction. I'll never believe in any afterlife reincarnation or god magic etc . I don't care if others believe it
