whether it be a song that made you feel more suicidal or a song that made you feel better, or a song you just like. comment your favorite lyric from it too
I wish I could listen to music. It was a huge part of my life as I played the electric guitar. But when I got Complex regional pain syndrome I was unable to listen to sounds and it was too painful. Not to play but to hear it. I can't listen to the radio in my car or anything.whether it be a song that made you feel more suicidal or a song that made you feel better, or a song you just like. comment your favorite lyric from it too
this is a really sad song about loosing a friend to suicide, Roberth smith talks about the regret that he felt by not finding the time to even talk to a friend strugling with suicide, and then wanting to change things, but knowing that he'll never be able to do so and missing him badly.
there are many other songs and even sadder ones about the subject, but this one really speaks to me since i'll be leaving many loved ones behind, and even if in my hearth they are absolutely not to blame, i know that they will not feel the same way and the regret will comsume them for years.
my favorite part of the lyrics is "and you hold me, like you'll never let me go"
because i've been feeling that a lot lately, who knows what embrace will be the last one, if only that moment could last forever.
that sounds so terrible im so sorry to hear that, i cant imagine not being able to listen to music :(I wish I could listen to music. It was a huge part of my life as I played the electric guitar. But when I got Complex regional pain syndrome I was unable to listen to sounds and it was too painful. Not to play but to hear it. I can't listen to the radio in my car or anything.
Here is another one.
My favorite lyric= There is a pain. A famine in your heart. A longing to be free.
Lot of Blue Oyster Cult stuff. A bunch of others too.
Veteran of the Psychic Wars Lyrics:
"You're seeing now a veteran of a thousand psychic wars,
I've been living on the edge so long, where the winds of Limbo roar.
And I'm young enough to look at,
But far too old to see, all the scars are on the inside.
I'm not sure that there's anything left to me.
Don't let these shakes go on!
It's time we had a break from it,
It's time we had some leave.
We've been living in a place,
We've been eating up our brains.
Oh please don't let these shakes go on!
You ask me why I'm weary, why I can't speak to you,
You blame me for my silence, saying it's time I changed and grew.
But the wars still going on dear,
And there's no end that I know.
And I can't stand forever.
I can't say if were ever gonna be free,
Don't let these shakes go on!
It's time we had a break from it,
It's time we had some leave.
We've been living in a place,
We've been eating up our brains,
Oh please don't let these shakes go on!
You're seeing now a veteran of a thousand psychic wars,
My energy is spent at last, and my armor is destroyed,
I have used up all my weapons, and I'm helpless and bereaved.
Wounds are all I'm made of!
Did I hear you say that this is victory?
Don't let these shakes go on!
It's time we had a break from it, send me to the rear!
Where the tides of madness swell,
And been sliding into Hell.
Oh please don't let these shakes go on!
Don't let these shakes go on
Don't let these shakes go on"
(I feel like posting lyrics is corny, sorry. But it describes depression flawlessly)

This is my go-to song when I'm in despair.
Rocket man. Love that song. If you also do, check out Jason Mraz' version of it. Unplugged and so damn beautiful. It's on YouTube only.
forgot about this song!!!The Smiths - Asleep
"Don't feel bad for me
I want you to know
Deep in the cell of my heart
I really want to go
There is another world
There is a better world
Well, there must be"
